Treetop Family Adventure

Wow, my son likes mini-​golf so we came here.
Bu far the worst mini-​golf course ever played. Some of the arcade games cost $ 2.00+ to play.
The kids will have fun, but be prepared to bring a minimum of $ 100.

Funny enough I have never brought my kids here but my hubby and I go to play every once in awhile and have brought out of town visitors there as well. The mini bowling is great, as is the golf. Always something going on outside but you definitely want to make sure you go with some kind of coupon or deal because if you pay for every activity you want to do it is very expensive. They always seem to have BOGO coupons and «Play all for $ 10» type coupons out there though so we always have some. The inside arcade games are great and operate on a credit type card where you slide the card in the game and it deducts your money and adds your points to it automatically. The prize counter is fantastic and they have good prizes in every point value. Clean facility and great for moms group as there is a little kids enclosed indoor playground too with a nice area for moms to hang out. Have never seen the snack bar open though? Also think a pay once play all day wristband would be a good idea for them to check out.

We just moved to Birmingham from Arizona, so we were looking for fun things to do with our 9 year old. I found Treetop Family Adventure via online search, and since it was just a few miles down the road, decided to give it a try.
We got there and found a large building with a few arcade-​style games, all of which were ridiculously overpriced ($ 2 for one video game? Really??) so we skipped the arcade and went to play laser tag at $ 6 per person (prices are jacked up on the weekends btw, but that was advertised on their website so no surprise, just annoying).
The laser tag area was fun for both adults and kids. The games last 7 minutes, but it seemed longer to me. This was the one positive experience in our visit.
After playing laser tag, we wanted to get a snack. They had a decent sized snack bar area, with tables and chairs, but it was closed. One of the employees said they didn’t make enough money from food sales so they closed the snack bar, and that we should «try the vending machines»… gee, thanks!
The go-​karts required drivers to be 56″ tall, and my daughter wasn’t quite there so we skipped those as well, but they looked fun. The miniature golf course also looked decent, but it was too hot to play outdoors today.
All things considered, I think this place has some potential, but at the moment it’s not enough bang for our bucks, so we’re going to keep looking.
I’d be interested in returning if they were to offer an all-​day wrist-​band sort of arrangement, with unlimited rides and attractions for say $ 30-​$ 40, but short of that happening, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.

The Laser Tag is not the best. The room is really small and you only play for about 5mins. They also have a Laser Maze, which looked really cool!
There is a mini golf course outside that is decent. It didn’t really seem t have a theme, and it was messed up in a few spots.
I didn’t try out the Go Carts but it looked like everyone doing them had a good time!
There are lots of other attractions there too.
I would say this is a great place to have a birthday party, or to go to occasionally. But it doesn’t seem like a place you’d go to every week.

This place has tons of fun things to do with your family. It’s a pretty big hike away from the city, but can easily be made into a big event trip. Check out their website for all they got, but they pretty much provide whatever you want. I used a Groupon for this which got me two attraction tickets and $ 5.00 for the arcade. Face value for that was $ 15.00 I believe, but I paid half that. We hit up the arcade for the first half hour with our 5 bucks that went a pretty good ways. They did have a couple machines we wanted to use out of order., And then did a blitz version of Mini Golf for the second half hour we were there. We could have easily stretched that all out to more like an hour and a half, but needed to get out before they closed. They have a pretty good selection of arcade games, as well as ticket producing games. As a kid, I know I would have enjoyed this place thoroughly for its all-​inclusive attractions. I always enjoyed the ticket games with purchasable prizes more than the video games as a kid.
The golf course and go cart course seemed a bit simple and small in terms of decoration and elaboration, but they certainly get the job done and fit the bill of entertainment.

Took my Grand kids to this family adventure and it turned out to be a very, very, BAD experience. I had not been there before and was trying to figure out the system, how many tokens does each item take and basically how find out the cost on each item as no pricing is listed until you slide a card. Any way the staff was very rude the girl who takes your money and if you are like me a grandparent want to know the process was SO rude and spoke so fast that I really did not know what she was saying except that they were HIGH TECH. I ended up spending 125.00 and my grand kids really did not have fun. So grandparents make sure you are HIGH TECH and have a lot of cash

Great place for the kids!

I had never taken the kids to this place before. I always thought it was too far out of the way. Tree Top really wasn’t far at all. It’s just right down 280. The kids loved it. They had a huge room full of arcade type games and a small bowling lane area. They have a really nice go-​cart track. They have put-​put, they have blow ups for the young ones. My only complaint here is that the blow-​ups for the little ones are scalding hot. I touched it with my hands and it burn me. I would not let my child go on there. They should have the jumpy area covered with some type of shading device to keep the jumpies from getting scalding hot for the babies. This place also has a little place to eat. The kids had fun and that is all that mattered to me.

Lots of good and a few cautionary comments and suggestions. First the things I liked.
1. I purchased one of those online deals and redeeming it at the counter was great! The staff is young but well trained and courteous. It was quite busy and confusing at the counter, but they did an excellent job and there was no hassle whatsoever.
2. The packages you can buy are pretty thorough and reasonably priced. We did the two hours of unlimited play to include bouncies, water wars, laser tag, tree house and up to 4 go cart rides each.
3. An earlier review noted that they are receptive to bringing your own birthday cake and using the café instead of renting a party room, so that’s what we did. Again the staff was very helpful and accommodating. They had pizza and beverage combos and I found them to be reasonably priced. And the pizzas were very, very good.
4. Overall I found the employees to be exceptionally good. Most were young, and I found them to be capable, helpful and attentive.
The few things I found disappointing are more in a way of cautionary comments to anyone else who has not been to Treetop.
1. The go carts are for older kids that meet the height requirement. While younger kids can ride with an adult, my son is at the between age of wanting to drive himself but not being tall enough. It did not help that he has driven other go carts at other tracks that are smaller.
2. The water wars also require a bit of strength, so either plan to get in there with the little ones or they won’t really get that wet (maybe a blessing?)
3. The arcade was not exactly what I expected. While the area was large with lots of games, there were only a few video games. Most of the games were more prize oriented like the claw games, spin the wheel for tickets, etc. You put however much money you want on a card and then swipe at each game. While this is more convenient than tokens, it also made pricing rather odd. For example a game is $ 1.10 instead of an even dollar. There is some sort of VIP system, but I did not investigate. I do know that some of the games were expensive. The mini-​bowling is $ 4.50 a game.
Overall, I was very happy with our experience and would recommend while knowing what to expect. Everyone had a great time and left tired. I think the laser tag was the big hit with my son’s age group.
One last thing, we did not take advantage of the mini-​golf due to time, so I can’t really comment.

I. LOVE. THIS. PLACE.
It has lots of activities that will appeal to a wide range of children. The arcade has lots of games (again, with lots of variation so even the small ones can participate) and you use a card to both swipe to begin the games and it also stores your tickets you win. A plus for moms and dads with lots to carry and also it lets you carry them over for multiple visits.
They also have a laser tag room, a laser light game (more for little ones), and miniature bowling. The play place is quite large and might be the only attraction you really need if your kid is young enough or on the easy to please side. It’s surrounded by a wall that seperates it from the arcade, so you feel safe that your child will not run out of some hidden exit and get lost or disappear. Also you pay a flat fee (3 and under are totally free) and they can play as many times (in and out in and out they go) and for as long as they want they have seating inside for you to use if you like.
Right beside the large treetop themed playground is a toddler play area, its also self contained, but you can see the main playground easily so you can keep an eye on big brother or sister while the smaller one plays. You? you as a parent can SIT on plush couches with a flat screen TV and free WIFI while your children run themselves ragged (might be heaven).

They also let you bring in your own cake and decorations and haul your presents into the facility and use their tables (the open ones outside or in the café, not the «party room» tables) for FREE if you want to have a birthday party, they only ask that you purchase drinks from the café. I almost died when they told me that, and my son’s 4^th Birthday was wonderful and much less stressful.
