Stay away and avoid this place. Took my iPad in to be looked at for a stuck home button. Dropped it off on 12⁄26 and associate advised would call me that night to let me know how much to fix. After never receiving a call on Saturday(12⁄26), I called for a status update on Monday(12⁄28) and was advised that they would look at it and call me back that night. After never receiving a follow up call, I called back again for a status update on Wednesday(12⁄30) and was told that they would look at it and call me back by end of the day. No call was ever received. I decided to go and get my iPad today and take it somewhere else. When I got there today, I was told«not sure if anyone has called, but we’re waiting on parts that will get here tomorrow». Needless to say, said no thanks and took my iPad somewhere else. Associates never called me and acted like I was bothering them everyone I called. Horrible customer service and lost my business.

Unless you’re taking in an iPhone, you’re probably going to get your device back more broken than when you took it in. My dude took his PS3 in, the issue being that when you pressed the power button, it would act like it was going to turn on but then a red light would pop up and it would just beep and turn off. This issue is common and is called the«blinking yellow light». My dude originally thought maybe he could fix the issue himself(there are a lot of youtube tutorials apparently) but he thought it would be safer and maybe more cost/time-effective to take it into what we thought was a specialist. When we took it in, my dude explained the issue and they never once said there would be a problem with repairing it — in fact they seemed very familiar with the issue, even going so far as to refer to repairs similar to the repair videos my dude had watched. So far, this all seemed legit. They said it would take 3 – 5 days. We didn’t hear from them for a week. After six calendar days we called them and they explained that they had to send it to the 280 store to do a «re-float» which does have to do with repairing the issue we had. Then we called them back two days after that, and they said it would be a couple more days because they were«swamped with consoles.» Then, a couple days later, we finally received a call from someone who asked, «Did they call you about your device yet?» It was then we were told that the device was unrepairable. So almost two weeks of being sort of in the dark of how things were going and in the end, we basically get a, «Well sorry, but we can’t repair it!» I have a hard time with a business that doesn’t keep communication open and clear, so the fact that we had to call them for updates was really irritating. And while we weren’t charged, when we brought it home and plugged it in, the device didn’t turn on ATALL. So more or less we got it back in worse condition than when we took it in. i.e., the shit icing on the garbage cake. I guess this place is really more of a last ditch effort if you don’t want to shell out the cash to buy a new console(this repair would have cost $ 80 btw). Maybe this is the risk we take with devices these days — but going through the manufacturer might be a better option in the end. Or maybe we should have just tried to fix it at home via youtube tutorials, when we could only blame our own ineptitude.

Incompetent I replaced battery in my Iphone 5 and the home button quit working and the phone went into«recovery» mode. After researching, I found a program that would get the phone out of recovery mode, but home button still did not work, so I took it to uBreakiFix to see if they could repair whatever I had damaged. After 2 days I called them and they told me they could not get it out of recovery mode. I told them about the program. After 4 days I called them and they told me they did some«research» and that the recovery mode was because the phone was«jailbroken». No repairs possible. First, it was not jailbroken, and second, when we got the phone back, the case had been damaged. The only good thing is that they did not charge for the«diagnosis». I then took it to a competitor, who found that there was a chip on the motherboard that had been damaged(most likely by me), and even had taken a picture to show me.

STAYAWAY! 1. I took my Galaxy S3 in for repair and they returned it and said it was«unrepairable». I then sent it to Samsung — they called me and asked If i had anyone else try to repair it and I told them about UBreakifix and they said and this is related to the problem«there’s 16 different points of solder that needs to be addressed and they attempted to remove 4 and then bent(something) and now it’s not repairable». 2. I purchased a used Galaxy S3 and within a week was having problems and I took it back and they told me to go to Verizon. I sent it to they fixed and returned and i haven’t had a single problem and they were very nice. Under no circumstances would I take anything to these guys for repair or purchase anything from them. They come across rude to top it off. they advertise on Craigslist but don’t list themselves as a company — but will when you call so just beware.
