Praline pecan ice cream was really good! And the chocolate amaretto fudge is amazing! There was only one girl working on a busy holiday bit the wait was not too bad. We would go back!

We go here too often! Small ice cream, homemade fudge and candy shop. The flavors change daily, my favorite is the peppermint stick ice cream. I’ve never had anything I didn’t like or experienced getting a stale a cone or poor customer service as others have said. They always go above and beyond for us.

Cute little shop(shares a building with the coffee joint, which we didn’t have a chance to check out) with a friendly clerk who was very generous with the ice cream. We ordered a 2-scoop cup for $ 2.69(vs. two singles for $ 2.19 apiece), which was definitely enough for three people to split. This was hands-down the best food value on our entire vacation(what do you mean, ice cream doesn’t count as «food»?!) and a nice surprise in an out-of-the-way tourist trap like this. There wasn’t an enormous selection of flavors — maybe a dozen or so – but all the basic categories of ice cream were represented(including a couple of non-dairy options for our vegan kid) and it was very good(on par with the best stuff in the supermarket, anyways). For an added bonus, you can either eat inside(in the coffee area) or outside on the covered patio, which had plenty of seating and looked out on the cool Post Office building. If we’re back here, we will definitely come back for another scoop.

Only show in town and no vanilla or even chocolate ice cream for root beer floats(floats are on the menu). I decided on an ice cream and it was served in a stale cake cone. When I asked for a none stale cone they offered a refund. Appreciated the offer but all I wanted was a fresh cone to enjoy my ice cream in. When I asked for a fresh cone I was given another stale cake cone. When I asked for a none stale waffle cone, I was told I would have to pay 70cents extra for the upgrade. Hmmm? Bad business practice and not a quality product. Ice cream cone ended up in the trash.

Only one employee on a busy saturday makes for a long wait. Ice cream was nothing special. My dad asked which fudge was freshest and clerk replied they were made within 2 days of eachother, which did not answer the question, and unsurprisingly it was sorta stale.

Located inside the visitors center building, this ice cream shop was the only one we found in town! Hard to believe unless we completely missed somewhere else. That being said, I thought they would have more of a selection. Only about 10 flavors. They do have a great selection of fudge though, if that’s what your craving.

No minimum requirement to purchase fudge! Only purchased what we wanted to eat right then, which was a nice option! The last time I was here, though, it was warm inside as if the AC wasn’t working properly.
