Old Bisbee Brewing Company

Stopped by for a flight of beers and thought the brew was just ok and the space was cramped at the bar. I did enjoy the Salut! which is a wine-​alternative popular in France during the vineyard disease years. I’ve never that served elsewhere and enjoyed the history behind it.

Surprised at how good the beer was here. Several of the brews used unique recipes I’ve never seen or locally sourced ingredients, giving it a truly special feel (as in I can’t get this unless I’m in Bisbee). So to sum up, this is a great place to get wasted in a sophisticated way.

Quant little brewery … Awesome beers and there is even an available penthouse upstairs to rent if interested. I really think it should be a 4.5 instead of 4 … just a great place if you like a small scale and unique setting.

Old Bisbee Brewing Company… looks better going than coming. I especially like the forced «no you’ll have this beer», after watching her continuously poor foam into a glass and denying my request for an alternative. The result looked like wet papier-​mâché in a tiny glass. Thanks OBBC, nothing like relaxing on a Sunday forcefully enjoying the bottom keg of the El Trigo.

This place was a pleasant surprise. Stopped into Bisbee for a day on a road trip. I was super stoked to find that they are an extremely dog friendly bar. The best thing about this place is their special cask Hazelnut Brandy Porter. 9.2%, ridiculously good, & only $ 5.50! Their royal stout on nitro was bomb too. Everyone was super chill. Go check this spot out.

This is some great beer, especially the stout and the hazelnut porter.
We stayed at the penthouse for one night and it was very nice. One of the great things about Bisbee is that it is a dog friendly town, so we were happy that we could bring our dog.
There is a one time cleaning fee of $ 20, according to the website currently and what we were told when we were down there and asked about renting the place.
However, when we checked in last week the cleaning fee had jumped to $ 50 — even though the website still says $ 20. I sent them an email inquiring about this, but have not yet received a response.
So, the penthouse is absolutely great. If you are visiting Bisbee and have friends in town it is big enough and has the amenities to host a small party, but double check on the price if you are bring Fido along.

Really decent beers at OBBC, a couple of seasonal beers as well specialty beers were delicious. Not every beer or wine was my taste, but I appreciate the diversity of choices. The Hazelnut Brandy beer was outstanding, speaking of specialty beers. The sampler flight is the perfect size for those who just want a taste with no wasted. Have some food to sop up the alcohol, but it appears that there are other places to eat. I like the focus on beer, cheers! Cap’n Lefty says be careful on approach due to mountainous terrain, but land here.

The service here was ok for it being only 3 people on a holiday and the bar being packed. We did have to wait a while to order and to pay but its a small brewery that is locally owned so I didn’t expect super fast service. I LOVED that they had a wine/​beer drink called «Salut!» which is a kinda of a cheap substitute for wine in the 1860’s French era where all the vineyards were being wiped out. It was DELICIOUS. Not too sweet, not too bitter. Just right. I would recommend this drink to all my girls out there who don’t like bitter and hoppy beer. My second choice would be the house made REAL root beer. It’s non-​alcoholic but damn it’s good. I can’t wait to chill on the patio again and drink some Salut!

We were really excited to try a local brewery down here in Bisbee. My boyfriend and I got the sampler and were really disappointed. The lighter beers were really watery and the darker IPAs were just eh.
The ambience was nice and the server was fine, but without good beer, what is a brewery? I would not recommend it to anyone.

I was lucky enough to be looking at the storage tanks and have the Brewmaster, Buster, wander over and tell me about the operation. Ask for him when you visit and he will tell you about the brews and the facility. The young lady behind the counter was very friendly, and helpful, providing some descriptions of the wares to help us make a choice. They also have growlers so if you are local it’s a good deal to pick one up and bring it back for refills.
Oh — and the beer — excellent with some fun seasonal offerings.

This place is great! Its pretty teeny tiny inside, but that honestly adds to the atmosphere. Patio seating is outside, but its been a wee bit too cold for that on both of our visits. Inside they have a tv screen behind the bar, a very friendly and efficient staff, and a small menu of hotdogs, chili and free popcorn for your beer munchies.
Getting the sampler is definitely your best bet if you’re a newbie here like we were last time. Its a great way to see what the Bisbee Brewing Company is all about and really appreciate what they produce. We even bought a growler to take home. I was very impressed! The price was great, too. We went back yesterday for a «pilgrimage trip» for a refill :) The Copper City Ale is outstanding. Amazing flavor and balance.
The current seasonal is the Hazelnut Brandy Ale. While its pretty heavy, the flavor is incredible. Even if you just get a taster, its worth it just to taste yet another thing they have accomplished.
This place is worth the trip to Bisbee alone.

Awesome little brewery right in downtown Bisbee. The clientele definitely seemed local and everyone knew each other. There was seating right by the large stainless tanks and out and around the bar. The patio looked big and super awesome to chill in nice weather. We grabbed a seat by the tanks and ordered up a couple flights of beer. The flights came on really cute round metal holders labeled with numbers corresponding with the beer list so it was easy to stay on track. The beers were all really tasty, with the IPA and the Stout standing out as my top two. There is an old fashioned popcorn machine inside regularly popping corn and making the whole place smell delicious. There is also a chili pot hot and ready, just waiting to be served alongside a hearty beer. Definitely going to make this a regular stop when I visit Bisbee!

Very Cozy/​Small brewery with the brewing tanks in the actual seating area. This is the only place I’ve found and tried a «Bier de Champagne» and yes it does taste very similar to champagne — quite delicious. All of the beers I tried were quite good and like I mentioned they brew some unique styles in addition to some of the mainstays like IPA/​Stout/​etc.
They only serve Brats, Chili, and Popcorn (good drunk food) so keep that in mind if you are looking for someplace to eat dinner.
Bar can get pretty crowded as the night goes on but it’s well worth it as this is probably one of the better places if not best to try some good beer in town.

They have a pent house room located above the brewery you can rent out from $ 105-​$ 135 depending on the night and allow dogs for a small $ 20 deposit! There are seven (7) different types of beer and I recommend getting a flight so you can try all of them. The inside is a little small, but worth it for the brewery atmosphere up against the tanks. The service is amazing and the staff will always tell you great places to check out when you leave. We got a bowl of the chili (made from the chef at Roka!) and it was delicious. You won’t be disappointed with this stop in Bisbee!

We went to bisbee for the first Time and had a blast except for our stay here at the old bisbee brewery. We went and looked at the room which was very nice so we were excited to stay here. All that changed when we went to go to bed and found a bed bug on our head board. I am a city employee and we had training on what bed bugs look like and where to look for them at. This was 100% a bed bug. We left right away and went and got a diff room. I will never stay here again and would suggest you don’t either. When I talked to the manager in the morning she was very rude as if It was my fault. I am a very clean person and I am glad we saw it before we went to bed or took our belongings out of the suit case.

What a great local joint. Bisbee is a, shall we say, unique spot and this is one of my favorites.
Situated right downtown, this fantastic brewing company offers brews made from their own homegrown hops and a variety of local ingredients as well as time honored recipies. I was with a non beer drinker and they also offer a wine/​beer French alternative. She loved it, but it wasn’t my thing. However if you have a non beer person, they’ll have something to drink.
They also offer in house made Root Beer. It is amazing!!!
Just like any other brewery they offer growler fills to take with you and they also provide free popcorn and cheap eats such as hot dogs and such.
The inside is quaint and clean, but they also offer a great patio overlooking part of down town. Super cute and casual.
Bonus: you can STAY above the brewery in a great apartment. Had I known that, we’d have stayed there. Definitely happening next time.

I like the Old Bisbee Brewing and my parents love it. We can’t come to Bisbee without stoping in. This is a great meeting place after a day of wandering through the shops. On my first two visits I tried the sampler, but since the beer lineup hasn’t changed much in the last 3 – 4 years I now go straight to ordering a pint. They serve the nice big imperial pints here and I love it.
My favorite brew is the Copper City Ale, a delicious Red Ale.
The only food served is a braut, but it is good. The bartender gives it to you in a poppyseed bun, plain, and you can add your own condiments to taste. It is good enough bar food, I like it. The brewery also serves free popcorn.
Something strange is always happening in Bisbee and always happening at Bisbee Brewing. On a New Year’s Eve visit, sitting inside, I saw a person dressed as a white rat, in a mascot quality costume. I guess it was just performance art or something because the rat costume didn’t allow the wearer to drink beer. Last weekend on the patio at the brewery the waitress offered us a piece of wedding cake. She let us know a couple had been married at the brewery that morning and there was wedding cake for those who wanted it.
My only complaint would be that the place is small, and when I have been there, always full. Because of the crowd the service is slow. If you want something, get up and ask for it. On the patio the servers seem to take your order and after dropping it off, only come back for the check. This has always been my experience here.
Stop in while you are in Bisbee, relax and enjoy a pint.

We visited the old Bisbee brewing company on a Saturday afternoon for some beer tasting. They had seven beers on tap and the tasting was $ 8.
They had a variety of beers from a Wheat, Pilsner, IPA, Double IPA, Stout, and even a wine inspired beer (Salut). The beers were pretty good but we especially loved the double IPA. It had a delicious hoppy-​ness without being bitter. I would recommend trying this for anyone who says they hate hoppy beers. It is the right mixture of flavorful hops without the intense bitter aftertaste.
The taproom was a little tight but I suppose that could make it cozy. The service was nice and the prices were fine. We didn’t try the popcorn, but should have (read it was free afterwards)… They also have bratwurst and chili if you’re looking for something to go with your drinks.
Overall it was a pretty good brewery in the unique town of Bisbee.
