Pretty decent mini mart that happen to be across the street from the place we stayed at while on route to Mammoth. It has pretty much what one would expect or hope for, that is traveling, hungry, thirsty, in need of small toiletries, aspirins, etc. Souvenir’s too. Did I mention thirsty? Beer selection was decent. Mammoth Brewed beers were proudly sold everywhere, but the variety here was much better! Were Hefe people, so we found a few choices here. IPA’s galore.(Not into IPA, tears up my pipes, acid does no justice to my pipes). Another TMI moment you just didn’t need right?! I only minus one star because they close kind of early, for being in a well visited area frequented by tourists. But it’s definitely pit-stop worthy!

This is a clean, well-stocked convenience store with an ample supple of munchies, beverages, and knick-knacks(tourist souvenirs) for your selection on the road. They have these nice rice crackers in pre packs of $ 2.99 that are a great deal! Ditto the wasabi peas! There is also a reasonable amount of microbrews from Mammoth Brewing. You’re in luck if your tastes run to sodas and microbrews for beverage. The wine bottle side room looks nice, but really has a pedestrian selection of common low shelf wines. it’d be nice if there were some more interesting non-mass produced bottles available.(We’d actually wanted to get wine, but changed our minds after looking at the uninspiring selection.)

Clerk insisted that I show her my service animal registration, stating that her boss required it per some sign on the door. I showed the identification card, which i don’t have to have per the ADA, and told her that she just violated the ADA. Then I walked out and took my business elsewhere. Why is California so ignorant on the ADA, or why do they think they can make their own rules against the ADA? Discrimination, folks!!!

The gas pumps only give you $ 50 worth of gas if you swipe your card at the pump. Then they shut off. You have to go inside and give them your card, and they will«unlock» the pump so you can go back outside and finish filling up. $ 50 isn’t much gas at today’s prices. Today, I went through the routine, and when I went back into the store, they said I couldn’t use my card for the rest of the gas because it was under $ 5. I could buy something in the store costing 55 cents, or I could add 55 cents to my charge, or I could pay cash. Nothing in the store I want costing 55 cents, so I had to pay cash. Ripoff.

This is one of the cheaper places in town to buy gas, but the convenience store is what is best about this place. They have a nice selection of beer and wine, some of the hard stuff, too. Snacks, groceries, and sundries can all be had. Clean bathrooms, too!

Not the average gas station, but a refreshing stop after a long drive… this place has a deli with tasty custom made sandwiches. And their beer selection includes some local craft beer. Prices are a little high but comparable to other gas stations in Bishop. Restrooms are clean and warm, coffee is good and their people are very friendly, even to tourists like us!

Stopped in here after an impromptu road trip from SLO to Yosemite and beyond…(decided to spend the night in Bishop rather than travel back all night back home. 8 hours one way from home to here with looky loos all the way). Asked cashier«Is there a Dominos here in bishop or a late night pizza place?» Answer: «There was a dominos but it closed a couple years ago.» I asked: What’s open after 10pm for food?” Answer: «Really not much, maybe Pizza Factory is still open.» [Monday night]. Server«Hey, is Factory still open?(to co worker). Co worker comes around, „Have we seen the Factory guys in here yet?“ Cashier: „I dunno, I dont think so.“ Co worker brings out phone book and looks them up. „Here’s their number, usually they answer ‘Pizza Factory, sorry we’re closed“ If they are closed. I note the number, go outside, call from my cell in the car. Yes, they are closed. Go back inside, needing beer. Partial to my local Paso Robles Firestone Brewery. Luckily find Firestone Solace and DBA(Double Barrel Ale) WOW. But I want something stronger like an IPA and decide on Lagunitas. Back in checkout line.“Thanks you guys for the info on the pizza place, gonna go back to the hotel and heat up something from Vons» Bought a bottle of stoli and filled up the tank for the cheapest price in town $ 3.95(late july 2013). Fair price. Good people, cool weird little town. Got bread from the Shat’s carnival tourist bakery on the way out. Drove 55. No CHPs tagged me. Good times. Lol

Well, the Giggle springs does make you giggle about their beer selection. I don’t really come here for gas although they are pretty cheap as well.

This is a must stop on our trips to Mammoth! And not just because I usually have to pee! Clean restrooms, decently priced gas, great selection of snacks and drinks and they have my favorite cherry cream soda and bottlecaps! I always make sure to stock up before we get to our condo. All in all, nice little stop.

Hard to find a good sandwich/sub/hoagie in Los Angeles or in California for that matter. Being from the east coast I grew up on Italian subs and sandwiches. Randomly, this gas station’s deli makes an Italian sub that rival’s that of Bay Cities in Santa Monica. They make a great sandwich. I highly recommend you swing in here on your way to mammoth and head for the deli. You won’t be disappointed.

Was all excited when BF and I pulled into the parking lot. «You really like this place, don’t you?» BF says to me. «Yeah, it’s cool and has everything!» I reply. *Envision Scooby Doo psychedelic graphics going throughout the screen with that dododo… dododo…dododo…sound * Their wine selection was crap. $ 15 for a bottle that would be $ 6 at home. And CRAP wine, not decent wine or even marginal wine. I get things are 100x more expensive at convenience stores and you don’t get the best selection but come on! All the decent hard alcohol was gone. They still had Hornitas but neither one of us wanted that. The girl at the check stand proceeded to have a loud, somewhat personal conversation THEENTIRETIME about family/mutal friends with another employee that was just standing at the other side of the counter. She had the nerve to get irritated when she had to swipe BF’s credit card more than once. Maybe if you were paying attention and would shut your yap for 30 seconds, there wouldn’t be an issue. The only reason I gave three stars instead of two this time? They had three kinds of Rogue beer that I hadn’t tried yet and the did have AbbaZabba candy bars. No, I don’t like AbbaZabba’s but Roomie’s kids do and I like to take care of them when I can. Major disappointment

Has some of the least expensive gas prices in bishop. After coming down the hill we usually fill up-only complaint; it’s on the left when headed south. Bathrooms are fine and the shop is large and stocked with EVERYTHING :)

Best sandwiches on the 395 — you get a sandwich(huge), bag of chips and a side of potato salad or macaroni salad for under $ 6 — what a deal! Right next to the Arco in Bishop !

I may be biased, because I worked on and off at this place for two years, but its truly quite cool. Good junk food, decent beverage variety, and also a lot of fun novelty stuff. If you didn’t know, there’s a deli in the back, open 10am to 6pm, and its got some reallllllly good sandwhiches. I’d reccomment #2 or #11. I feel that our boss goes out of her way to hire some really approachable people. If they’re not, do complain! There are enough people in Bishop without work, and I think its better to employ those with good attitudes!

This is my favorite place to get gas in Bishop. Why you ask? The women’s bathroom is so clean and even has a tile mosaic in the bathroom. Sometimes when you’re road trippin a clean sink is enough to make you smile.
