So, if you could add a third taco to the taco dish that would be great. I feel like two tacos is slightly undersatisfying. The third one would make it perfect! Fries should also come with the dish and not as a seperate charge. I hope you take this into serious consideration. Thanks.

Had a great time and dinner here. The burger was delicious and the beers were all very good. Especially enjoyed the session IPA which was just over 5% but full of flavor. The staff was very friendly and service was good. We ordered something that they ran out of which they forgot when we ordered. When we informed them, they quickly got us something else and also gave us a dessert on the house(porter brownies which were absolutely delicious). I’ll definitely stop in again next time I’m in Bishop.

What a great place! Good brews, and really wonderful staff. Upon entrance I noticed immediately the place was packed with climbers – this is a good thing or not so good thing depending on what’s your cup of tea. Even if the patrons weren’t climbers, they were the outdoorsy types wearing puffy jackets, beanies, a little disheveled from the day’s activity. Everyone seemed friendly and low key. My husband got a flight that included the Scottish ale, coffee porter, oatmeal stout, and I think another porter. The coffee porter was amazing. The other three were good too but I only really remember the coffee porter. By the way they make a brownie with the coffee porter, and that was excellent! My husband proclaimed it the best brownie he’s ever had. It was ordered for me, but he ended up eating most of it. And then went back the next day and got another one. The food looked good too, but we already had dinner waiting for us so didn’t get anything to eat. Next time would love to try it. Joe, one of the owners, is super cool. We chatted up with the guy next to us at the bar, who knew Joe, and he ended up giving us a tour of the brewery in the back. The equipment is super impressive and really well maintained. It was a great experience all around. We had such a good time even though I was pretty tired and was thinking more about the dinner awaiting us than the beer.

Great new stop in Bishop! Just celebrating their 1st Anniversary and we predict this is just the beginning! Great selection of several amazing tasting beers. Most micros have one or two solid brews and the rest are experimental. Mountain Rambler has solid lineup top to bottom. The owner Joe has not only started a great brewery but has set up a fun gourmet kitchen. Menu is so good. We are from San Diego, the micro brewing capital of the world. We know good microbrews. Joe is right up there with the best!

With my experience here, it’s absolutely great. The staff here is really friendly. I had a slight hard time trying to figure what i really wanted to drink and the lady up front was extremely helpful. Asked me about my taste buds and recommend notch which was really. Espically thw coffe dark beer they had. Dessert wise their apple empanada os really good. Then i meet Joe the owner who is super friendly and he’s really passionate about his job. I would recommend this place for good beer and a dessert.

I’ve been there probably 20 times over the past 60 days — and really enjoy the beergarden atmosphere, nice staff, surprisingly good food, great music evenings and the lighter varieties of their selection of 10 crafty beers. My recommendation beerwise is the Seven Gables, Scottish Ale and the Pine Marten wheat beer. They also have a nice new coffee infused dark beer which reminds me if German dark beer. Foodwise the Rambler burger with fried egg is amazing, great quality and value even at 11 $ and something. I also like the salmon with risotto, the rustic salad and the soups and the sweet potatoe fries on the side. The locally crafted bratwurst is not my favourite — maybe because I am used to the real deal back in my home country. Peoplewise it’s usually quite packed with the climbing folks and friendly locals — due to open seating and long bar you can always make new friends if you want. Artwise they have a few mini exhibitions, nicely curated. Yes — and they have Wifi — so you can share the experince. If you’re still reading this, I must say I like the place, if you are passing by, I’d say it’s the best place for a meal and a beer. The owners name is Joe — he’s friendly and passionate about his work.

Just a warning to those of you hoping for a beer and a bite while visiting, the kitchen currently closes at 8pm not 9pm like their website states which was a super disappointment to us arriving at 8:05 after along drive from Bakersfield only to be told the kitchen was no longer serving food. To their credit there is a sign on the door advising of hours we just missed it but seriously 5 minutes late? And heaps of food continued to be pumped out of the kitchen and delivered to patrons while we sat and drank out beers. So a closed kitchen I can forgive, you got to close sometime right? Unfortunately the server behind the bar didn’t get any friendly after this which I can’t forgive. Upon ordering two different but very similar looking beers and asking the server which was which he rolled his eyes and then stated very snidely, the darker beer is the ‘x’ beer and walked off to serve someone else, the two beers looked almost the same to both me and my husband so in the end we had to taste each other’s to figure out which belonged to who. It’s definitely a hot local spot, and the place was full of 20 and 30 something’s decked out in their Arcteryx and Mammut gear talking about the ski conditions. Will we be back? Maybe, but I think we’ll most likely stick to waiting a little longer until we get to Mammoth to hit the brewery there instead

My husband and I arrived here on the way into Bishop at 5:45 pm on NYE. We had called earlier to see if they would be open, and there was no answer, so we were not overly optimistic. We were happily surprised to see it was very much open and it was already hopping with skiers freshly off the slopes. The seating here is with picnic tables, promoting a nice community-like feel. Unfortunately, they were also very full. We waited a few minutes to get a stool at the bar and the bartender was very attentive, bringing us both our beers promptly. I had the Session IPA and my husband had the Oatmeal Stout, and both were very tasty. We also got a generous serving of fries, that were seasoned with rosemary and salt. They had a much more robust menu, but we were only looking for a pre-dinner snack that evening, but we would definitely frequent this place when we return to the area.

Excellent Brewery! Beer is top notch and food selection is unique and superb! As a vegetarian, they have a wonderful selection with multiple tempeh options, rare to find. Yet also have some ‘standard pub food’ selections. Tempeh tacos are to die for! As well as Notch IPA! Staff are mostly local ‘climbers’ who are happy to be there, friendly and make you feel right at home. New brewery that is on it’s way to becoming a local icon for years to come! Hurry in while it’s fresh and new!

This place is just awesome. Great selection of home brewed beers, starters, pizzas, burgers, salads and other entrees. The portions are big and fulfilling. The Thai Meatballs are a perfect way to start dinner. Absolutely loved them! Totally recommend the Arugula Salad with beetroot, goat cheese, etc… I added salmon for an extra goodness. The Rambler style Burger also great, with salsa on the side. The beers are a bit sparkly, more than we like them to be anyway. The Black IPA was by far the best of the 4 we tried. Prices are really competitive and service is friendly, helpful and attentive. The place has a great social/casual vibe, including long tables for best interaction with the crowd. We will definitely be back!

Stopped in Bishop for the night on the way home from Mammoth. Great beer and amazing food, better than any place we drank/ate in Mammoth. The Notch IPA was solid and the food hit the spot. Definitely recommend.

Ate dinner here last night. The brewery looks really cool but I don’t drink so I cannot speak for the beer taste or selection. The menu is really different but I’m good with that. I ordered salmon tacos and the Thai meatballs. They also have ginger beer and one of the best, Cock and Bull… so good. The place was busy but the food came in a timely manner and the staff was great. The salmon tacos were beautiful but tasted a little bland., could have used some pica de Gallo or cilantro at the very least. The Thai meatballs were very spicy but flavorful.

Hmmm… I wanted to love this place, but it missed the mark for me. Let me start by saying I don’t drink and maybe if I was a beer drinker my review would be different. I enjoyed the atmosphere which is artsy hip and the staff was nice. The prices were also reasonable, but… While the seasoned fries with 3 dipping sauces were amazing(unfortunately you continue to taste them for hours), the salmon tacos(with a VERY small portion of salmon btw) were really bland. I can’t say I would come back the next time I come through Bishop.

Great brew pub in Bishop! Well, the only thing I was disappointed is the beer, it have the basic varieties, but there were no stands out. The beer from Mammoth Brewing is still better. But they will fill up your growler if you put tapes over the names. Food is above your regular bar bites, the fries are excellent at $ 4.50, large portion, perfectly fried, and has more sauce than just ketchup. Taco was gluten-free! Flat bread and burger are delicious. You order at counter and get a number, service is pretty good, and food comes out fast. There are a stage for live band. This is a good replacement for Whiskey Creek.

We are always on the lookout for the local breweries. So we HAD to stop here. There were about 5 beers to choose from. So, we both got a Valencia(blonde ale) that was good. Outstanding? Above others we’ve had? Nope. But good. We were getting hungry, hoping for a bite for lunch. But I was the only one between the two of us to find anything on the lunch menu that appealed to us. Meaning the menu is a bit on the lean side. I got an empanadas that had butternut squash and cheese. That was delicious! If you’re into that kind of food, go for it! It’s a good size too. As far as the ambiance, it was kind of quiet. No, let me say, very quiet. It has picnic tables throughout and there were people there. But it was just quiet. I didn’t get a «fun» feel about the place. If we are passing through town again, we may stop. But I wouldn’t go out of our way to go here.

Eh, I think this place has a lot of growing to do. They just opened, but I don’t think that they can fairly call themselves a brewery just yet. They don’t brew their own beer! Apparently their own beers will only become available in January. As for the food, the burgers are expensive and don’t come with fries. My friend ordered a burger fully loaded with onions and peppers, etc, but he seemed underwhelmed. I went with the falafel plate because they don’t currently have a turkey burger option, and I was also rather disappointed. I got three hard and tasteless falafels and some flimsy pita along with a single piece of lettuce and some chopped tomatoes and pickled carrots. Their tzaziki sauce was okay if not particularly inspired. That plus my Stone IPA(on tap) ran me $ 17 with tip. Seating is first-come, first served and a bit strange in the space as there don’t seem to be enough tables and chairs yet. There is also a small stage to one side, which leads me to believe that they will bring in live entertainment at some point. There was none on the Friday night we visited.
