BC Bagels

This review is strictly for the smoothie/​juice selection. I was looking for a place to get a shot of Wheatgrass. Yeah I’m that guy… They did not offer any or really any large variety of smoothies/​juices. I had the peanut butter smoothie that was more like peanut butter milk than anything else. It tasted good but was not a smoothie and I am sure was not that healthy for me. Didn’t try any bagels so I can not remark. Staff was friendly.
It is inside what use to be a mall… or maybe still is a mall??? Hard to tell some places were open and others were not… Stranger danger around the corners!

Love love love their bagel sandwiches (bagwiches?) and their juices. I have allergies and they always accommodate my needs and switch out ingredients for me.

Great little family owned business. I am all for supporting local small business owners. I first found this place when someone took me to breakfast here. The staff is always very friendly and glad to answer any questions you may have.
They have a good selection of smoothies and fresh juices and coffee. They offer a pretty small selection of bagels but what they have is awesome. I really like the fact they boil them, it’s gives them this awesome chewy texture but soft in the middle. I really like the cinnamon and sugar bagel toasted with plain cream cheese. They also have a few breakfast bagels to choose from. Great selection of cream cheese, also try the everything bagel.
I would definitely recommend this place to others. Check out this place, you won’t be disappointed.

With so few bagel choices, I don’t understand how they aim to please their customers. The cream cheese barely covered the top of my bagel, not to mention the absence of tomatoes in the whole restaraunt. As a supposed bagel sandwich shop, isn’t this sacrilege?
At least they boil their bagels for an attempt at good texture, which is the only reason I gave a second star.
With a cold attitude and bad bagels, BC Bagels will not be getting my business again.

These bagels are the best in town. It’s locally owned, which is great, and the people that work here are super friendly. The bagels really speak for themselves though, nice and dense and doughy like a New York style bagel. Their sandwiches and cream cheeses are great, too. Go here before you get a bagel anywhere else; you won’t be disappointed.

I don’t know what the other reviewers problems are. My girlfriend and I went in and everything was great. The bagels are fantastic and the smoothie I had was awesome. Service was good, too. Maybe don’t go into a restaurant 60 seconds before they close hoping for them to suck you off? That might be a good start.

These bagel sandwiches are amazing! They came out in a couple minutes and were very reasonably priced. The smoothie we ordered was also very good. Forewarning: it’s in a old mall. It’s sort of eerie.

There are basically two choices for bagels in Bismarck, and they are pretty much equal quality. The juices at BC are great, but the smoothies are not worth the price because they are made with so much ice. I agree with reviewers who have been disappointed with the customer service. The cashiers are not customer oriented, and their ambivalence is apparent throughout the entire transaction. I come here fairly regularly because I love bagels, and have yet to experience great customer service.

Very honest crew. Best bagel for many many miles. The only place to go in Bismarck for a FRESH REAL BAGEL. There is a difference find it here.

I think it was a little bit of overkill for two people to give bad reviews for the same visit/​experience. It’s hard to find good help in Bismarck. I personally know a business manager who is seeing a constant shortage of workers and the ones he does hire come and go extremely fast because they’re so unreliable. I wouldn’t hold one employee’s actions against the business so much. These reviews have a big impact on such small businesses. I’ve been in this bagel shop to a of times and they’ve been nothing but friendly and helpful. And the food is to die for!

We were very excited to try this shop. Stopped in 10 minutes before closing. The lady behind the counter was not overly friendly. When we ordered our bagels, we asked for them to be toasted. Before the shop was closed, she had already shut down the toaster and put it away, and then told us we couldn’t toast our bagels. She had her broken and dirty cell phone out and plugged in and charging on the counter where we «pick up» our food. We left the shop because we didn’t want to eat right there, and when we opened our bag we had no napkins. The service was awful. The sandwiches were fine. They were good, nothing outstanding an nothing that I could not make at home. Too bad.

I would expect for being the only bagel place in town in a mall deader than a doorknob that one would receive great service and you would be thankful for our business. This was the first place I wanted to try on my trip out here from Oregon. The bagel was fine. Soft and chewy, but the tattoo’d nonchalant chick at the counter killed it. I’m sorry but I really don’t care if I walked in there at 1:59 you serve me just like you would if it was 8 am. If i ask for my bagel toasted then toast it. Period. That’s what you do. You sell bagels. You’re in customer service representing the company. I’d give a 0 for service without a smile or care and a 4 for the bagel. Put your cell phone away. Get it off the counter. Put a napkin in the bag. Cut the bagels all the way through to the bottom. Smile and say Thank you! Guess customer service works different out here in Bismarck. Too bad.

My lunch at bc bagels was the best valued, most delicious, and frankly one of the most memorable I’ve had within the past 8 years. Thank you for the great service and fresh flavorful bagels!
