Very efficient! Never a long wait with so many windows open.

Went to get my North Dakota license here.
They have two kiosks to check in at as well as an information desk. Even though the place was packed they seemed very efficient at moving people through while still completely fulfilling the necessary steps.
I waited for about 45 minutes before being called up. They were friendly, didn’t seem like they hated their jobs (like so many other DMV’s), and even joked with the customers they were helping.
It cost $ 15 for me to get a North Dakota license, they accept credit cards, debit cards, check and cash. If you’re from out of state (like myself and so many others lately) you have to surrender your license since they hand you one less than ten minutes later.
I’m not used to that at all. In California they punch your current license to mark it «invalid» but you get to keep it since they mail you one that you get in about a week or so… here in North Dakota they are much more efficient and apparently they don’t have a problem with fraud cause they print it out right there and then.
