Don’t trust what they tell you! Bought a living room set in Dec. 2008 and the recliner came in not as ordered. They agreed to waive the final $ 200+ on the total bill which was a good compromise. 3 ½ years later I get a bill from a collection agency stating that I owe Zimmerman’s Furniture $ 200+. I had not received any correspondence or bills from Zimmerman’s in the 3 ½ years!!! When I called them they stated that they had an old computer system that didn’t send out bills and they were now clearing their accounts up and there was nothing showing that they had waived anything for me. The manager that waived it in 2008 now conveniently can’t remember our discussion or even the problem with our chair even though he was out to my house loking at the chair. They are not willing to even discuss the issue and tell me that I must deal with the collection agency. When I told them that I should never have been sent to collections as they had waived the remaining balance and never billed me if they didn’t think that was the case, they basically told me it was my problem. If anyone else buys from them, I would suggest getting everything in writing as you obviously can’t trust what they say!!!
