M-37 Meat Shack

We routinely stop at the Meat Shack during our summer visits to the area. Outstanding quality and customer service at a fair price keeps us coming back.

I’ve been coming here since my father brought me as a little boy. I now venture up on trips from Chicago by myself and I stop at the meat shack every time.
I work in a local meat market outside of Chicago and the Meat Shack is one of the best I’ve ever seen. Clean, friendly service, and great pricing. Healthy large cuts of meat and, like many before have stated, their beef jerky is to die for.
If you’re going to Baldwin for Trout-​a-​Rama or just passing through you have to do yourself a favor and stop in.
Been coming here for years and years.

This place is a small, but very convenient store. They had beef jerky that they make themselves that my husband and sons loved (said it tasted just like steak). They also had big cuts of steak that my husband also loved. I really liked that they sold locally made and owned products and everything was fairly priced. We stopped here probably ⁴⁄₅ times while up there. Nice job meat shack!

Stopped on my way home and purchased the smoked salmon and it is great as everytime I stop. Best place to purchase this.

On 7÷2÷12 we were on our way home and we always stop at the Meat Shack. We picked up 4 Monsterous pork chops and 2 ribeye. They were perfect as always! The staff was super friendly and they had two cases full of meat.

I have undergone some major changes in my life recently. Time moves on and so do I. What happens when you get older? You change, your opinions change and, most importantly, your tastes change. So the biggest changes in my life? Hmmm… how about a gold band on my left hand and a new found love of beef!!! Yes, that’s right folks! Married and a renewed meat-​eater, all in the same summer!
So what does one do when they get married, drive all over the state on their honeymoon and have a hankering for meat? Stop at jerky stores, that’s what! And Oh my! The Meat Shack on M-​37 did the trick.
Its jerky-​galore in there. Pick up some jerky in regular, spicy and sweet flavors. My guy and I picked up two bags and went though them before we knew it. The jerky was flavorful, not too salty and cut into perfect strips. They also offer smoked fish, lots of meat (burgers and such) and regular party-​store offerings. The staff is super cool; the gentleman at the jerky counter was very helpful with offering samples and suggestions. Mmmm, so goooood… I gotta plan my next trip up there, and quick!

Hello MEAT! Hello SHACK! Cross out the «the» and you’ve got a meatlovers paradise– Meat Shack! My fiancé who is a born and bred NY’er loves this place and we make trips from our cottage in the summes regularly to stock up on the goods!
This is a clean store and has the best display of beef jerkey I have ever seen, with flavors ranging from sweet maple to the spicier jalapeneo. Try the hillbilly variety– my personal favorite. Burgers, steaks, whatever you want, meat shack has it! They even have isles of condiments. See you in the summer Meat Shack!
