Very good lunch. We had the lunch special consisting of two catfish strips and two shrimp and two sides. We had fried okra, cole slaw, green tomato chutney, and brown beans. Everything was delicious. The fish was hot out of the fryer and was battered and fried nicely. All the sides were excellent. We were very full so we didn’t order any pie, but it looked delicious. The place has character and is very clean. Good catfish house!

Great food and even better staff! Atmosphere feels like home and hubby fell in love with ‘fried’ pies. Definitely coming back

Best Place to grab a true country dinner. Specialty is Catfish. Green Chutney is a fine side. Get you Yum Yum on at the Lazy Fisherman. Bixby USA.

YUM, YUM, YUM. This place is seriously amazing. It reminds me of a little fisherman’s boat house. It is a wooden, one-room restaurant with nice wood tables and seashore décor. You have many options to order on the menu from catfish to shrimp to chicken. We had fried green tomatoes for an appetizer, which were fantastic. They are only served when they are in season and are exquisitely flavored. The ranch sauce that is served with them probably makes the appetizer. It is a thin ranch sauce and I loved it. The catfish is awesome and hands down the best. It does not have a fishy taste at all, which is why I liked it. It is also filleted, avoiding any worry about little bones surprising you. My dish came with a hush puppy, potatoes and gravy, and fry bread. The fry bread is something you should try, especially with honey(I mean… you are already breaking the diet with the fried fish, so you might as well go all out). I tried my catfish with ketchup, tartar sauce, the ranch sauce, and even plain! It was all so delicious I could not make up my mind. If you have not tried this place, you definitely need to add it to the top of your list.

This place is in Bixby and has been here for years. Good food great service. Love the folks who run the place Big ol’ Corn fed boy, as my daddy said! The portions are big so expect leftovers. Amazing specials and even if you don’t prefer fish they have burgers. So perfect spot for lunch :)

Sweet folks and so generous with the food that even sharing a plate I have two big pieces of Catfish and fried pickles to take home. Ask about the story of the Redneck Spicket in the restroom! The cole slaw was very good and fresh. Besides hush puppies and fried pickles they have Fried Pie… I’m gonna have to head back for that later cuz I’m too stuffed at the moment ;)

I’ve always liked the fried catfish ever since I discovered this place twenty years ago, I had gotten married and moved away and had lost touch with the restaurant, I finally found the time to return. The fish was excellent as always well fried, sides did not go well, corn on cob tasted like it was going bad, nashed taters had no flavor and hushpuppies were too dry and no flavor, since it was a pickup, they didn’t offer to include tartar sauce. It seemed abit pricey for what was received but I won’t be ordering sides anymore, just the fish.

Personally I think the best catfish in the Tulsa area. Good down home style food. Love the fried green tomatoes and friendly service

Pretty good for what it is. Catfish was well breaded and tasted really good. No black fatty lines running through the catfish. Generous portions too!
