Denny’s

Great breakfast, as usual, it’s a Denny’s, if you go to Denny’s then you know what to expect.

I go here a couple times a week. Food is great. If you’re in a hurry just remember Sunday’s and Wednesday mornings are pretty busy. I’m vegan and it’s nice that they have options for me. All of the margarine is vegan and they serve Amy’s brand veggie burgers.

We ate here last night and it was probably the worst experience we have had at any of these. The customers behind were rude and kicking the back of our booth, two different waitresses got us drinks, then when they finally settled on who was going to wait on our table, the waitress Courtney H took forever to even come and take our order. We order the sampler appetizer, and the cheese quesadilla? Well my 7 Yr old can do a better job. definitely more bread than cheese for sure. Refills were sporadic and the waitress forgot various items throughout the meal. She hardly came to check on us, because she was too busy being a table buster as well, hence the sporadic drink refills. Help needed wasn’t the word, but I don’t want someone who was handling dirty dishes and such, or cleaning supplies to be handling my food right after. The entrée was good, and everyone enjoyed their meals, that’s about the only saving grace of the experience. I saw a now hiring sign as we left and it quite apparent they do. Maybe if they had a more complete staff it wouldn’t have been as bad, but considering the time frame in which we ate and it nearly died down by half way through our meal, the excuse quickly went away for that. Oh and FYI, if you hear the other waitresses go back and tell the cook that he needed to add something or he forgot something nearly 7 times to their orders throughout your meal, it doesn’t make you feel hopeful for your food which the poor cheese quesadilla suffered for. Better training would be nice before putting them in the kitchen.

Janelle was a wonderful waitress she kept our drinks full and constantly was checking up on us, and the food was absolutely perfect and came very fast me and 6 of my friends ate on Valentine’s night I believe she said the cooks name was Averi, honestly the skillets Were sizzling to perfection the best skillet I’ve ever eaten.

I have eaten at Dennys all across the US. I have noticed that ALL are not consistent with their menu. You see I order the same item every time. Some would shorten my portion of Prime Rib Steak. This particular Dennys is near my home. It is my least favorite of any I’ve been to. This one needs work. Mainly with the quality of the food, presentation, and how it’s prepared.

This was a stop at a Denny’s in Black Mountain, NC. So let me preface this review by saying perhaps this was an isolated incident. However, since the last time I went to a Denny’s was approximately 12 years ago, it will no doubt be quite a while before I see if this is the case. So, what can I say, the place was clean and the hostess was pleasant. The food was I guess what one would expect from a Denny’s/diner. Eggs sunny side up and burnt crispy on the bottom. Coffee that was so bad that we had to ask for cream to help cover it up. then when we asked for the cream it took literally 20 minutes for it to come. My lady ordered a skillet of some sort of meat, peppers, potatoes, cheese, and eggs and some tortillas. The tortillas came out late and stuck together so bad that they tore while trying to separate them,
I know some people say they don’t go to chain restaurants, but I have found that not all of them are bad. It really depends on the people at that particular chain’s location. I do know that from here on while traveling and stopping for breakfast I will more than likely get coffee from McDonald’s.

This place sucks

terrible. had to point on the menu and tell the waitress twice what I had ordered after being brought the wrong thing both times. asked her to just bring the bill and some drinks. she brought one coffee drink that slopped all over the table and didn’t brink my friend a drink the whole time. just horrible.

WORST Denny’s I have EVER been to! I don’t expect a whole lot… I mean it is Denny’s after all… but I did expect to have SOMEONE wait on me after sitting at a table for 20 minutes.
I got up and paid for the ice tea the hostess gave me and left.
Slightly annoyed that they even made me pay for me ice tea considering I complained that no one had come to my table.
Can I give this NO stars?
