I recommend Jessica! She is great with medium length hair. Salon does not try to constantly «sell you» products while you are getting your hair cut which I appreciate! The prices are fair ($ 25 – 30 for a ladies cut). Location is convenient to campus as well.

They gave me an appointment for just two days after I called, which I was very happy about. However, I was 10 minutes late because of bus troubles. I called the front desk and they said it was fine, but when I got there they made me feel bad for wasting their time. They said they now only had time to do half of my highlights, which didn’t really make sense because again, I was only ten minutes late! At other salons I’ve been to they take that long just to consult with me to find exactly what I want. There wasn’t much of a conversation at all and it didn’t seem like I was being listened to.
My hair was then colored and another woman washed my hair, and then left me for a few minutes while my stylist was doing something else. I realized that my stylist was doing another client’s color and cut, even though I was only 30 minutes into my appointment. I didn’t really mind because I had made such a last minute appointment, but I was left at the sink with a cramping neck and water dripping down my shirt for 15 minutes!
I noticed that other stylists also had multiple customers at once, which for such an important and personal service was very concerning for me. If I do return here, it would only be for the prices.

I went in today for my first haircut in Blacksburg and was very pleased. Kelly knows her stuff and is very skilled with the scissors. She really listens to what you want as well. For instance she kept my length. I hate when someone cuts your length a minimum of two inches even if you say not to. Ontop of it she is really sweet and nice. I will be back. (also she cuts a mean bang– loved my bangs!)
