Firehouse Tavern

We got the prime rib sandwich and the nachos with chili, fantastic! The homemade nacho chips were to die for! We visited on a Tuesday afternoon. Marinda the hostess/​bartender was helpful attentive simply wonderful we will be back!

Tried this place twice, brisket was hard and tough, food had no flavor, located in a musty basement, these people should hire someone who knows how to cook, would never go back and we live close by. Seems like they put a lot of money into the smokers but have cooks that don’t know what the hell they are doing, several people told me the same that they had lousy food also.

Don’t order a fancy drink. They don’t do that
But if you want good food, then its a good place to go. Half chicken dinner with sides for under 8, brisket for under 10, pulled pork for under 10. Free popcorn
Theyre friendly, they cook well, its cheap. Would totally go back.
Also, they have jello shots.

We live right up the street from Firehouse, so we decided to give it a try. I’m from the South, so I love some good barbeque. The first time we went, the wings were underdone, but they quickly cooked up some more. The dry rub is out of this world, there’s no other way to have wings after having theirs.
Foods are fresh, and service is pretty good. Every time, my kids get the mac and cheese, and it’s real homemade mac and cheese. Heaping servings for not a lot of money. Pulled pork is delicious. Their sauces complement the barbeque perfectly.
Beer selection is fantastic. It’s a good meal, and we can feed our whole family with leftovers to spare for under $ 50 – including an appetizer and drinks. HIghly recommend this place!

This place sorta hidden away in a little town of Blackstone earned its 5 star rating. It had friendly attentive service and a real local feel. You wanted to become one of the regulars after just one trip. The food was excellent. The portions were huge. It was amazingly inexpensive. Really inexpensive. … The rotisserie chicken is one of the best I’ve had. The rub is so good. The sweet potato fries had a cinnamon sugar coating that was delicious. The fish and chips were huge… My Only slightest wish list was that the french fries were homemade with the peels on… but for the prices you can’t get everything. Buffalo mac and cheese in the words of my son was «like heaven»…

The food is good. The service is good. I like it.
