I am not rating this because I don’t like Walmarts. I am rating this because it continues to have very rude employees. I have been there on 3 separate occasions where an employee is extremely rude(Once it was a supervisor). If you must go to Walmart, chose a better one.

I don’t shop at Walmart that often because the locations are so far away from where I live, work, or play… but there are a few items I stock up on when I get to one because I can’t find them anyplace else(i.e. specific hair products, Chapstick and deodorant varieties). I guess I can’t help it – when I find something I like, I stick with it. I also get some of my automotive supplies there because it’s cheap(specifically oil & filter). I just wish I didn’t have to go out of my way to shop there all the time. I must say, I typically enjoy shopping at Target much more – the overall big box experience is a little more«classy» for lack of a better term. I haven’t shopped at this particular Walmart in a while, but while I walked through the aisles this time, I couldn’t help but notice that it seems to have been«Targetized»(sans all the red). The aisles have been spread out, and the dividers between the aisles have been shortened so you can see clear across the departments now. It’s weird, but I suddenly found myself finding looking at a variety of items that were now«on display» instead of being tucked away like they previously had been. I’m not sure if this is a floorplan that all of the Walmarts will evenually be adopting, but I certainly found this store more aesthetically pleasing than any other Walmart I’ve ever visited. On top of the new layout, I also found the checkout experience to be better than other Walmarts as well. Most of my Walmart visits take twice as long as they should because they seem understaffed on cashiers and/or half of the self-checkouts are broken. Not here – I walked up to the checkout lines and I was greated out in front of the line by a nice older gentleman. I had a few special requests while I was checking out too(like separate transactions, etc.) and he was completely accommodating. He was also careful to not pack my food items with my automotive items, which I appreciated. My whole visit seemed different than I am used to experiencing at Walmart. Perhaps they’ve done a lot of research on what attracts customers to Target and adapted their business model to do the same. So far, from what I can tell, it might be working.
