Blairstown Airport

This hidden gem is about as good as it gets for feeling like a kid again! Don’t be intimidated like I was — we lived nearby for 10 years before I ever got the courage to stop in, and found everything is very approachable. From the glider port to the awesome runway café, you’ll have a great time alone or with the kids! It’s right on the Paulinskill Trail, so it’s not uncommon to see horses hitched to the fence while their riders use the «facilities». It makes for quite the juxtaposition. For the «big kids» there’s Orlandi Flight Center — a great, approachable place to learn to fly or just get your feet wet if you’ve had the itch but not the desire to actually earn your pilot’s license. The menu at the café may be pretty simple, but the atmosphere of being at this small airport in rural New Jersey is sure to make for a memorable experience.

Awesome place to go for plane glider rides. There is a tiny, delicious café located right on the premises.
