For The Animals is a small sanctuary — probably an eight of the size of Farm Sanctuary or less, but with the space they have they pour a lot of personal time and love in to the lives of their resident animals. While the sanctuary doesn’t have regular visiting days, they do offer dates for ‘work day volunteer parties’ and visiting days. This information can be best found through their Facebook. I’ve made dear friends here from volunteering and visiting — the people who help here and own the sanctuary are kind. They have full-time jobs and when they aren’t working they are with the animals. It would be a beautiful thing if they had more support. Consider visiting one day and bring a friend too!

The sanctuary owners work full time besides running this sanctuary for farm animals(aka victims of food farming trade). So the sanctuary is only open for visitors on certain days. Check their website first. Similar to the set-up of Farm Sanctuary in upstate NY and in CA, the viewpoint is definitely vegan. You can bring a lunch onto the grounds, but please no meat, dairy or eggs. It is hard to describe the peace and bliss of interacting with animals that will never be subject to the cruelty of agribusiness. If I wasn’t vegan already, coming to places such as this would be very convincing. FTAS also has special events and adult work days, where you can assist the farm with its work. Kudos to Debbie and Steve for their work!
