Vacationing in Blue Ridge, we asked around for good meat shops. Two locals mentioned Chambers. So when we were out and about for the day, we decided to check it out. It was awesome. They run a small business, so they only had a few fresh cuts of beef and pork out, and a selection of frozen products. But the butcher came out, talked with us. We told him what cuts we usually get, and he took us back into the freezer, with all the cows and pigs hanging on the racks. «I’ll show you something most people haven’t seen,» he said. He cut us a brisket fresh, and gave us some short ribs free. It was reasonably priced, just slightly over store-​bought price. And there is no comparison in flavor. So delicious!
