Surprised to find such a great Cuban restaurant in the North Georgia. If in the Blairsville area, well worth the stop! Had the grilled pork roast with plantains and my wife had a skirt steak — both to die for!!! Topped it all off with the best flan I’ve ever had in my life and a really unique guava cheesecake. Definitely be back!

I tried this restaurant for the first time last month. I ordered the ropa vieja with congri and steamed yucca. The ropa vieja(shredded beef) was well seasoned and delicious. The congri was executed right and the star was the steamed yucca! A friend mentioned to me that they have had better in Miami. Well, we are far away from Miami and I was very happy with this version of Cuban food! Definitely will go back!

Hands down the BEST restaurant in Blairsville! Very consistent and always fresh! Delicious and authentic Cuban food as well as many traditional dishes. The steak salad, blackened red snapper, and the pulled pork are my personal favorites, and the black beans and plantains are the best I’ve ever tasted!

This is my favorite restaurant in Blairsville. Every time I return from a business trip, my spouse knows this is where I want to eat. The food is perfectly cooked and flavorful-every time. They can get pretty busy, especially on Friday or Saturday night but we have never had to wait long. Because of my work travel, I eat at restaurants too much and prefer to stay home when I can. This place is the exception. My favorites are Dan’s Churasco(?) steak and the roasted pork. The black beans are made from scratch and yum! Friday night is usually lobster bisque. Don’t miss that!

Friends told me about this place they wanted to try for Cuban sandwich. They loved it. I tried the baked chicken special along with maduros and black beans. Nothing even close to being as good as this in Georgia. Have to go back to Venezuela to find food this good. Quite a hidden treasure here. Will go back!!!

Really good at affordable price. Fresh produce and coming from a Cuban family I’d say the food was authentic. Really friendly servers.

Outstanding authentic Cuban food, combined with great service makes Dans a place that we always come back to. We are from Miami, and we find this restaurant to have better food than most places in Florida. Dans is family owned and it feels like we are eating homemade cuban food. We love the vaca frita, palomilla steak, congris, the papa rellena, and tostones :-)

Dan’s Grill has it going on. I have brought no less than 15 friends to this establishment all the way from Chattanooga and Asheville, and none of them have stopped talking about it since their respective visits. I texted one of them to tell them I would be dining there this evening, and he responded«Man I was telling some people about Dan LASTNIGHT! He is so legit.» His visit was about a year ago. I try to eat here at least 4 times a year(I live in Chattanooga). The quality of each dish is exceptional– high quality ingredients, consistently cooked to perfection, and flavors that just work. Convinced? Good. Let me help you order. My first love was the vaca frita — the flavor will blow you away. Order with rice and beans; the beans are essential as it is a dry dish. Don’t say I didn’t give you the clutch heads up about the beans. Major honorable mention to the maduras, tostones, and yuca. Authentic with a capital«A.» Now, if you’re one that’s ready to dive right in for the main event, go for Dan’s Churrasco. Exceptional skirt steak marinated to perfection, served with chimichurri on the side. I’ve never ordered anything else since the first time I ordered this dish.

Are you kidding me?! An authentic Cuban restaurant in the North Georgia Mountains. The Cuban Sandwich was delicious and went awesome with a side of plantains. Great hidden gem.

It’s Dans, not the Columbian. Service is great! We ordered a Cuban and while it was good, it was basically a pressed ham sandwich. Not a bad meal, but«Cuban» is a stretch. Wifi is available and free.

New to the area, so we relied on Unilocal to guide us. We thought the reviews were great and we weren’t disappointed. My husband and I ordered the special, New York steak. Me with mashed potatoes, house salad and he got the plantains and black beans. The steak was cooked a perfect medium rare which is always hit or miss. It has a wonderful flavor. The potatoes were a little cold but really flavorful. They were so busy we had to sit outside which did create a bit of slower service than we like but other that it’s a great place to dine. I would recommend it to anyone.

Had my first Cuban sandwich here and it was delicious! Waitress was very friendly, this place is definitely a hidden gem! I recommend the black beans as well, very flavorful! We came out of season for the plantains which was a bummer, and if we were more hungry we would have tried a tamale!

Best Latin cuisine outside of FLA! Had the mojito pork wrap with my favorite side dish, maduros — fried sweet plantains. Simply amazing!
