Pretty much what you would expect of a Mountain area diner. Large menu, large portions and large value. Prices were all reasonable with almost everything between $ 4-$ 8. It’s a bit dated, and kind of annoying they only have 1 women’s bathroom but obviously this is not a huge priority. My veggie omelette was good, and it came with 2 buttered pieces of toast and fried potatoes, as well as tea. All were good. The french toast was also good. Everyone enjoyed their dishes, so if you are in the area check it out!

Good breakfast specials if you come before 12 noon. We went here around 11:40am as a group of 7 on a Saturday morning and we were seated right away. We’ve come on a Sunday before and usually don’t have to wait very long if at all. The service was great, no complaints there. I had a plain bagel and wheat toast which were good, along with milk, which was a heavy whole milk. My boyfriend had the french toast, eggs, bacon, and sausage and enjoyed his meal, especially the french toast. A friend enjoyed his pancake deluxe, and another friend disliked his homefries because they put onions in them. Prices were reasonable as well, but I’d definitely recommend going before noon to get the breakfast specials if you’re going for breakfast or lunch. All breakfasts come with a small juice, which is about the size of a shot glass. So overall, good service, comfortable environment, food is moderate to good, and the prices are good. In general, we make it a tradition to come to this diner when in the area together.

Excellent food! Excellent service. 5 stars all around. You will not be disappointed. We travel a lot and prefer the mom and pop diners and this one definitely does not lack quality. I read the reviews and the chairs all matched and the booths matched, but I don’t believe that makes or breaks a diner. The prices are good. The food was delicious and plenty of it. The waitresses were friendly and right on top of their game. We will definitely stop back in!

Hesitant to try it after iffy reviews. So figured it would be safe to try it for breakfast. Needs updating and it hits you when you come in. Tables, booths and chairs all different. It was busy and we were shown a table right away. We got menus right away and it took awhile before we were waited on. The server was very nice and the menu had all basic breakfast foods for reasonable prices. I had two eggs, toast, potatoes and sausage. Coffee and juice come with it. Husband had cheese omelet with bacon and enjoyed it. $ 12.20 for breakfast. Nothing fancy but we were glad we tried it.

Best diner ever? You’ve got to be kidding me. Ordered the«special,» which was roast pork loin with gravy, etc. what came out was a pork chop that I truly believe was cooked for 10 days. This hockey puck of a chop, I honestly wouldn’t have fed to a dog. It was embarrassingly bad. I complained and they said I still had to pay for the side salad, which came as part of the entrée I ordered. Are you effing kidding me? If I knew the entrée was going to be that bad, I never would have touched the damn salad, which was freaking iceberg and a croûton. Avoid this mess, for your own good.

Great place. Every time I come up here we stop in for breakfast. The food is delicious. Great price and large portions. Do not get turned off by the outside of the building it actually adds to the mystique. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu over the years and it’s all good.

Went here with my wife for breakfast one morning. It’s right around the corner from my house so the convenience was nice. The inside was old and not very clean. They were not busy and we were tucked into a corner. The food was not really good and the wait staff seemed to forget about us. We won’t be returning since there are far better options for breakfast and lunch in Blakeslee.

I was in the area to take my granddaughter to a local resort. The first night we visited, we were their last customers yet they took the time to prepare us a fresh hot meal without making us feel rushed. The food was great, staff friendly and the prices are well below what I pay for half the quality in Manhattan. We came back for breakfast in the morning. I had a Belgium waffle with fresh blueberries and my granddaughter had«turkey sausage with scrambled eggs» and fresh squeezed orange juice all for about $ 15 including tip. They cater to children which is a plus. The décor is very old fashioned, clean and quiet enough that you can actually have a conversation without a million distractions. My only complaint is that it isn’t closer to home.

Was back this weekend and loved it, plenty of food and nice people. They could use some background music, was a little quiet.

Best Dinner Ever. I’m from NY and this place is legitimate. Loved the eggs, french toast, and well done corn beef hash. Enjoy!

Our family has made several trips. Great breakfasts(including good specials), great lunches, great dinners. Good prices, cheaper than the local resort dining options. We love it.

Good place for breakfast. Food is plentiful, very reasonable and always good. The place is not much to look at but don’t let that fool you.

This place is not much to look at, but if you want straight up diner food that’s VERY easy on the wallet and served with no pretention, you’ll find it here.

It’s a diner… in the middle of «no where»… kinda what I expected. The food was«good enough» and it seemed«clean enough», but it certainly wasn’t what I’m used to. I spent my bachelor party in a cabin out in the Poconos, and this was the breakfast place, for that, it worked. The service was good and friendly, and the portions were ample. There really isn’t much to say… if you’re hungry, and you don’t want to do a WaWa, come take a seat. The prices are CHEAP, just remember, you get what you pay for.

If you’re in the area, this place is hard to miss. Its right off the main street and has ample parking. I should have taken the lack of clientelle as a sign, or, better yet, I should have read a couple reviews before coming here. The place is a typical diner, but the food and cleanliness are subpar. The staff was friendly, but the food was no good.

My breakfast was okay. My only complaint about the food was that the bacon was basically uncooked and my companion said the coffee was awful. I believe that Mom was cooking in the back because the front staff kept yelling for«Mom». So this is definitely a family affair. While I had no complaints about the breakfast, the surroundings were surreal. Water-stained cieling tiles that looked like they were about to fall. Table tops that were stained, cracked, with chipped tops. I definitely remembered why I don’t like having carpeting in a restaurant — stuff was growing in there and the color was a wierd shade of green. Deer heads, emply soda coolers, this place was amazing. We had breakfast in the bar portion of the diner. I think that this would be a good place for a cold brew and hot tunes on the juke. Next time, I’ll have breakfast at the Dunkin Donuts down the street.

I was in the area looking for a simple diner to eat at, thought this might be a good choice, but was mistaken. First of all, half the items on the menu was unavailable. Although the waitress was friendly, she didn’t know anything about the food. I ordered a cup of hot water, and was served water at room temperature… and when I complained about it, the waitress stuck her finger in the water to test the temperature. The quality of the food was below average. Also there was this guy at the front counter, who I think was the owner… that just kept shouting while talking on the phone, which really disturbed me while I was there. Don’t go to this place.

This is a place to eat breakfast on a cold winter day or coming back from the slopes. However, watch out for the smell of cigarettes. It can be quite intense. I don’t recommend this place for the kiddies because of it. It a good greasy spoon spot.
