Dollar General Store

Dirty, nasty. Never have enough cashiers. Not sure why people frequent this place, I’d rather drive 20 min then have to go into this store. Not sure why this place is always a disaster

To start, I am not a fan of this store. This is generally not my first choice as far as shopping and stores go. But,
Oh Dollar General.
Here, in small town Blanchard Oklahoma, our choices are slim. We could drive to newcastle for Walmart, but is that any better? Meh. So, everyone here, in small town Blanchard Oklahoma, shops here. There is almost always a long line. Say and wave hi to your neighbor, because you’ll probably see them there! You can catch up while your in line!
All kidding aside, and my feelings for this store generally (haha!), this particular location isn’t the worst there is. The staff is always the same, so it does have a small town feel. I feel like I’m friends with the workers at DG. They are very friendly. (With the exception of maybe two!) the store is decently clean. They usually are pretty well stocked. (This is also a bad thing– seeing as how they always have boxes sitting out). Like most Dollar Generals, they have a variety of items and goods. Clothing, linens, cleaning supplies, décor, books, toys, food, medication. If it’s a general good, you can find it there. (Har har!) the store has its own parking lot. Which is nice. It’s open pretty late too, which is convenient. It’s very affordable.
I give this four stars, because of the employees. They are honestly what make the store great. I dislike the long lines and boxes, but they are pretty fast checking you out, and always have a positive attitude about it.
If your from out of town, just drive on by. But to those of us who live here, it’s our little piece of mini Walmart paradise!
