Excellent chicken strips! Probably the best I have had in a long time. The small plate was huge! Great fries! Cheeseburger was solid. Reminded me of a diner type burger. Nothing fancy just a solid cheeseburger. Definitely would recommend this place. Only negative was its a bowling alley — so there was cigarette smoke! Yuk.

Absolutely the worst place I’ve ever been to. Not only was the food horrid, but the manager was a total asshole. A visit to this place on Sunday for steak and eggs breakfast ended very poorly. The over easy eggs were overdone and the STEAK was RAW. Disgusting food and the worst management ever. I tried to contact someone higher up in management but got no response. This was only after we complained to our waitress, who went in the back and emerged with a red-faced jerk(we later learned this was her father) saying we shouldn’t have eaten any of our food. The edges of the steak were done but the center was COLD and COMPLETELYRAW. Impossible to tell until we cut into the center. When another waitress was talking to us about our meal, the red-faced manager yelled at her from across the restaurant«Get away from there — that is none of your business». Not only did we get charged for raw, inedible food, but we were actually over-charged for a full steak dinner and only received the raw steak. If you want to be treated poorly and overcharged for horrible food, I highly recommend this place!

Great burgers, fantastic service, and a fair price. I stopped in this weekend for a burger. I live in Austin and was passing though as my hunger kicked in. I decided on this café as I prefer smaller mom-n-pop type cafes. I was not disappointed. Their sweet tea was on point and the burger was satisfying. What really got me was the atmosphere. I felt like I was eating at a relative’s house. The service was very friendly. I was surprised to see the waitress going around and passing our free brownies to customers. They were left over from the lunch special. It was nice to see them given away rather than thrown out or sold the next day. I’ll definitely stop by again.

Delicious homemade food! Must try the Hamburgers, Onion rings and Pie… they make everything fresh to order.

This place is a step back in time! Friendly, down-home service and homemade food. I wish they’d spruce up the place and give it a bit more charm, though! With a little TLC, this place could shine!!!

This is a real old fashioned lunch counter place. The food is very good, it’s very reasonably priced. The service is good, friendly. They mix their own ranch, it’s always better when they make instead of buying it. They have fresh made bread also. I will definitely be back. It’s like a step back in time. I love it.

Been coming here since about 1976. Good home cooked comfort food from the diner.(Private Bowling Alley in the back.) Great lunch specials! Med plate of catfish on Fridays till 2 includes three sides and tea for $ 6.95. Good chicken fried steak. It’s usually what I get but not today… No room for dessert today tho they are delicious!

Great down home cooking for a good price. We get the small lunch special and it’s plenty. My husband gets medium. Even the kids think the food is good.
