Amazing assortment of hand crafted products. Prices are very reasonable, probably half of what you you pay 30 miles away in Great Barrington or Northampton. Product quality excellent. Very nice couple run the place who know the craftsman and artists that make the products in the store.

A cool, kitschy place in the Blandford area that is everything wool, knit, and handmade. We stopped by here on our way home from a day of skiing at Maple Corner, after seeing the sign on the road for«Ewes-ful Gifts». The grandmotherly sweetheart who runs/owns the place greeted us and treated us like family. Apparently, in nicer weather, she calls her 8 ewes to greet guests. The shop is filled with beautiful gift-quality items such as: wool pelts, shearling slippers, baby booties, handmade jewelry, Belgian-style sewn greeting cards, knit shawls, and incense. The prices are all reasonable for the craftsmanship and quality. A pair of real shearling slippers – soft, fluffy and just oozing warm and comfy– are only $ 67. That’s on par with what you’ll pay anywhere else, and these are local artisans and craftsmen. They’re going on my Christmas wish list. Those in the area, or just passing through, should certainly utilize Sheepgate for all of their gifting needs. I will be back to meet the sheep!

This lovely local gift shop is the epitome of rustic charm. Not only can you look at locally produced crafts, but you can feed the sheep in a setting that looks like it came out of some of the more lush Locations in Lord of the Rings, with moss covered rocks, trees and a beautiful garden. The proprietor was beyond friendly and helpful!
