We’ve eaten here a number of times over the years, but I have officially put them on my «do not visit» list. I never got sick or anything, but the food quality just isn’t there… Our last visit pushed us over the edge. The egg rolls are mostly all«filler» cabbage and are overcooked(yes, there is a state known as «too crispy!») The General Tso’s was overly breaded too — too much breading, not enough chicken. Right after the Dragon 21 closed(it was a Chinese restaurant in Fleetwood), Nice Garden came out with a new menu that jacked up the prices $.50 on lunches. I guess they are capitalizing on being the only game in town. I don’t mind the higher prices so much, but the real kicker was the past few times that I’ve ordered ahead from Nice Garden they’d say it would be 20 – 25 minutes. I’d arrive 25 minutes later and they hadn’t even *started* my order and then I’d be standing around waiting for another 25 minutes. Uggh, be honest with your wait times! It really is a shame because this restaurant is right around the corner from my house. A better bet is «China Wok» in Temple(near the Burger King on 5th Street Highway), or some day I guess I’ll have to try out«Hong Kong» in Oley(it’s not exactly close to my house though).

(3⁄100) Is there a shortage of duck sauce and soy sauce in the world? I’m curious because this is the second Chinese restaurant that I’ve been to recently that didn’t give me ANY sauce. They used to have the sauce sitting out at the end of the counter. Well, not any more! They hide it behind the counter and asking for it was like pulling teeth but why? If I want to send my blood pressure sky high, that’s my business. Gimme da sauce woman! The lunch special used to be a great deal. It was $ 4.95 but now they’ve raised their prices and lunch will now run you $ 6.25. That wouldn’t be an issue if they were consistent but unfortunately that’s not the case at Nice Garden. I ordered two lunch specials: general tso’s chicken and beef and broccoli. I didn’t get what I ordered. They gave me chicken and broccoli. They also didn’t give me the egg rolls. The woman said«oh, I never dropped the egg rolls; how about soup instead?» I told her no, I didn’t want the soup. I said I’d just wait for her to drop the egg rolls in the fryer. I saw her drop them but when I got home and looked in the bag I realized that she still gave me the soup. So why did I wait around if you still gave me whatever you wanted to give me? It’s rather unfortunate because this place is right down the street. They used to be really good but their food quality has gone downhill. That along with them basically giving me whatever they’re in the mood for that day, is just ridiculous. With so many dining options, there’s no reason to deal with less than mediocre food.

All of these strip mall restaurants are basically the same. Average portions, taste, and prices but your best deals are the daily lunch specials. I order here because it’s practically across the street from my house and I can order takeout Fridays and Saturdays up to nearly 11:00 pm and 10:00 pm on the other days.

Past 3 times I’ve been there in the past month, the food quality really went down hill. 1st time I got the wrong order 2nd time food was over done and last night over done again and dry. They no longer have the sauces sitting out. I have to ask for them and it’s like pulling teeth to do so. They insist they put em in the bag and you don’t need anymore. Really!!! 1 soy sauce for a quart of fried rice and 1 mustard for 2 eggrolls? At least I gave this place several chances… time for me to find a new place to get my Chinese food fix.

Food is very good. I recommend take out rather than dine in, but we order from here quite a bit.

This place is very clean; the food is constantly good. I’m a big fan of the General Tso’s chicken and shrimp. The lunch specials are always a good option. They used to deliver; however, I called the other day & was informed that they no longer delivered. That was very disappointing since I was stuck at work. I was craving Chinese and unfortunately I wasn’t able to enjoy their delicious food.

Nice clean place with good food. Hot and spicy chicken was hot, but not very spicy good portion size for lunch. Fried rice was a little dry but flavorful. Good prices.

Excellent for take out! Food is always hot. Folks work hard and are kind to the customer. Love the chicken rice soup for a tough cold. Enjoy!
