My visit to Beaus was phenomenal! The place is very nice. I went with a group of girls and ordered their burger, with Mac n cheese, & mashed potatoes! And might I say OHMYGOSH!!! If you haven’t tried this place it’s a big must! With no exception. The reason as to why I gave this place a 4 star was because of the service. As the restaurant was amazing the service was VERY slow.

This place delivered. The steak, salads and salmon were all great. The service was good as well. the vibe in the restaurant is a touch old as in the crowd that eats there. The menu is basic bar and grill fare done a bit better than your average bar or grill. The Hummus and lamb was awesome and the onion straws are good too. The house mac and cheese did lack that flavor punch, but was creamy and tasted good, not great. The french fries are good but get clod fast, they are thin. The salad selections are good and looked fresh as there were a few ordered at our table. If you want to enjoy a casual dinner or lunch in a nice restaurant build out, this is your place.

Pleasantly surprised… Was a busy Saturday night and could not get into a lot of other spots and settled on Beaus’s. We had the Salmon and Grilled white fish and they were both fantastic. Service was outstanding and the environment was relaxed. Would definitely go again. Our only hesitation was its 3 star ranking on Unilocal … It far exceeded that.

Try the grilled oysters. Nothing but top notch service and great meats. Had the prime rib and they seared it over the wood fire… How do you spell the noise you make when you kiss your fingers? That good.

4 star sounding menu items with 1 star quality… so I’m being generous with a 2 star rating. Service staff is not trained, making the experience feel like a Ruby Tuesdays rather than a good restaurant(no offense to any great waitstaff out there at Ruby Tuesdays). Nothing seems to really click at this restaurant. If you’re starving after a movie at the Maple Theater, it might be an option. But there is nothing otherwise desirable about Beau’s. If it were a simple spot and not trying for more, then it’d just be an okay restaurant that fits a certain need. But it’s all the worse when a restaurant aspires to offer good food, service and atmosphere, but fails entirely.

If I could give 0 stars I would. What a horrible experience we had here. Sat down and didn’t get helped out for 15 min. As soon as we were getting ready to leave the hostess came up to us and poured our waters and apologized. Had two different waiters both were very rude. Our apps were cold, steak was not cooked medium and chicken tasted like rubber. I’m not one to complain but this was disgusting. Even the manager agreed that the chicken looked bad. To make matters worse the place wasn’t even busy. I won’t be coming back here EVER

This place is phenomenal! The quality of the food is amazing. Their Mac & cheese is a must have! Obsessed with their shroom burger. Everything comes in large portions. The staff is amazing they’re always so helpful! The service is perfect to the T. Check this place out!

This place has a limited menu The tv screens are awkwardly placed — don’t ever plan to watch a sporting event here. The food is average, but overpriced. Recently went there and two people had a chicken sandwich, turkey burger, 2 sides and two ice teas and I paid over 40 $. This is crazy since the turkey burger could have contained kennelration chow. It did not taste fresh or good although I had this item before and it tasted better. I am concerned with consistency . I will not be going back soon, but may some day try again. It would be nice to see more apps, better salad options and more reasonable prices

3 out of 4 meals were good but the ribs that I had were just bad over cook and dry and the coating was way to much sent them back and guess what the same ribs came back dip in grease to make them moist very disappointing.

Food sent back twice. Still not right. Found a away to overcook brocolli, waterlogged. And, still had to pay for everything. So, paid $ 76.00 for a turkey burger, with sodden brocolli, a French dip that was sent back twice, and could not eat, 2 beers and a glass of wine. Wow. Manager promised to make things right, but never even saw him again. With all the good places too eat, why settle for this pretentious establishment. Never again. 1 star seems way too good. Steer clear.

My family just went out to dinner at what was a once great establishment. To say our experience was sub-par would be generous. We ordered three burgers, of which, one was way over cooked, one was extremely undercooked, and the third we waited an additional 15 minutes just to receive the wrong burger. We decided we’d try and seek some sort of restitution from management. When the manager arrived(5+ min later) he seemed all too eager to pawn the blame on another server and not even apologize, or show any remorse about our ruined family gathering. He did comp some of our check, but we were still charged $ 65 for a meal in which 60% of our order was completely incorrect and uneaten. Needless to stay we begrudgingly proceeded to pay and head to another restaurant. I’d rather have a belly full of white dog s*** than eat at that shadow of a once great restaurant.

Not great. I miss the old ownership. Hair in a bun, they didn’t even apologize, just blamed it on their supplier. The other time I was there, the service was super-slow. The only reason I gave 2 rather than 1 star is that the burger(on the hair-less visit) was quite good. But the service makes it not worth it.

We love the new update to the building As far as the food goes, we can’t say enough of how delicious the New England Clam Chowder was. Every bite had a spoon full of clams! Beau’s Burger was amazing, very unique sauce that was really good. We will be going back really soon especially for more soup :)

I can’t believe how poor their customer service is. Tonight I chewed on a piece of metal from the meat grinder in my turkey burger. And instead of an apology and a comped bill or gift card to return i had to argue to get my turkey burger taken off the bill. The manager on charge was unapologetic and rude. THEREWASMETALINMYFOOD!!! And when I asked how he was going to ensure it didn’t happen to other guests he said the chef would spot check the meat… Really… Throw it out beaus before you have a bigger problem on your hands. I’m disgusted. And as a local frequent patron of all of the partnership of restaurants affiliated with beaus I’m seriously disappointed in the food and service.

My first experience at Beau’s was unreal! The food was amazing. I went with a friend and we got an appetizer that we could not finish because it was such a large amount(hummus and lamb) and we both shared a beaus Bleu Cheese burger which came with a side of fries. I replaced the fries with sweet potato fries and the dressing to that was so good. The burger itself was to die for! We also split a 14oz NY Strip and it came with a side of Mac and cheese. What I was impressed about was that they split both the sandwich and the NY strip in the back so when it came out, each of us got our own side of Mac and cheese and we each got our own side of fries. And let me tell you, those were LARGE portions. The steak was so good, rarely any fat to it and the zip sauce is amazing!!! The burger I ate last and I was so full to even eat half of the half I got but it was the most amazing burger I have ever had in my life. My waiter gave us such great service. I am willing to go back every week because of how good the food and service was. Bill only came out to about $ 100 for the two of us and we still didn’t finish our meals(and we eat a lot lol). The menu changes about every 3 months but they keep the traditional must haves that every one loves. LOVEDITHERE!

How disappointing We went there after it first reopened and the service and food were great. Chef came out, introduced himself and asked our opinion Second time the food was still good, service was so so. No chef visit but overall still a good night out Third time. What an unbelievable disappointment. We had a reservation but still waited longer than should be expected for a table. It started with a bar order while we waited. A simple bourbon Manhattan with a twist had a cherry instead of the twist. It’s a really small thing but clearly attention to details is not their strong suit. Dinner service was shockingly slow taking our orders and even slower delivering. A few burgers, a sandwich and a couple grilled salmon dinners took forever to arrive. It was almost an hour after our order when the food arrived. We spoke with the manager and the waitress but nothing seemed to speed things up. Great food might have made up for poor service but this was not the case. Three people had soup and all thought it was too salty. Broccoli side with the salmon was ice cold. Burgers were tasty, salmon was good. Overall an okay meal for a Denny’s but not worth putting up with again. The manager finally came out and offered free deserts which no one wanted. We figured it would be another hour to get a couple cookies We are not going back any time soon. There are way too many good restaurants in Bham, royal oak and ferndale(not to mention Detroit) that are better run with better service and better food. No need to waste our time here for poor service and okay food

Not a bad experience overall. Had the tuna melt which the server recommended. Pretty tasty. Only complaint would be slow service. It took a while for drinks from our server who was also the bartender tending about 4 tables as well… Maybe not so much of a good idea for a quick lunch. Took about 25 minutes for food to arrive. But the place was steadily busy. So whatever. Cocktails were okay. Décor and atmosphere is nice and upbeat(a little dusty) but nice nonetheless. Overall it was nothing to write home about.

My visit to Beau’s was an impulse decision. This is my first visit since the remodel. The space is very nice. I arrived a bit before noon — the first customer of the day. Jorge greeted me and seated me promptly. Within 15 minutes ~15 other customers had arrived. Amber(?) was my server. She was prompt, attentive & knowledgeable throughout the meal and she kept my water glass full. I ordered the tuna melt. It was a very good tuna melt. The crispy/charred onion shreds on the top were pretty, but they were as advertised, charred. Not my favorite flavor. I brushed them to the side. Tip: The entrance is on the east side of the building, not the two doors on the front. Will I return? Yes. WiFi is available. It is safe-enough to use for any services that require a login. CCW friendly.

Tried this pace for the first time. I came in for a quick bite and sat at the bar. The bartender was friendly and attentive and made sure my drink, even though just water was always full. The manager on duty Jared even came buy and made sure I enjoyed my food. Told him it was my first time there and he had several good suggestions. I will definitely come back and try more of the food suggestions that Jared recommended. Thanks for a great dining experience.

It was totally ok. But not good. We went with a group of girls and the pace of the meal was slow. Very… very… very… slow. The menu was kind of boring. I wanted American Bar food or steakhouse, like how the old Beaus was. This a fusion of something and something, not sure exactly. Our waiter could have been less attentive and aloof only if he quit and hung up his apron. I will say I heard some ollllldddd bitties complaining about God knows, and the manager did everything she could to make it agreeable. And the $ 10 Moscow mules, while expensive, were tasty.

I’ve been to Beaus several times since it opened. Everything seems pretty consistent every time I’ve been there. The service is always great, the manager always checks on the table, and the food comes out timed perfectly. I ordered a French dip sandwich, my husband had the whitefish, and my stepdaughter had the Thai chicken salad. The whitefish wasn’t a great cut of fish, but it was extremely good quality. The French dip is always my favorite as it has the shaved prime rib that they make for the prime rib entrée. The Thai chicken salad never disappoints. As sides we had the Swiss chard, cauliflower vindaloo, and sweet potato fries. The entrees were great, the sides… Not so much. The cauliflower was extremely mushy but it had great flavor, the sweet potato fries came out nice, hot and crispy, but we’re wayyy too sweet(it was as if they were dusted in sugar), and the Swiss chard was just gross and inedible. We also usually get the old beau jacks chili and share it with each other, but I guess they took it off the menu… We were super bummed! Their new turkey lentil chili is good, but it’s not great like the old chili! We like coming to beaus. It’s generally not so busy anymore and easier to get in(we don’t go on weekends)

Perfect for a Sunday lunch beau’s, is a newly renovated building giving customers a clean and modern feeling when dining in. The menu is very versatile allowing the customer to satisfy any taste bud. We went with a big group and while every person ordered something different, each item was delicious! The sandwiches come with a side of homemade chips with the option of getting a different side like fries, veggies etc. it’s tough to get good seafood and beau’s has a delicious piece of salmon that they serve definitely worth remembering! The appetizers offered are a great start to any meal. They offer delicious wings I would strongly recommend anyone to order if dining here. This is definitely a safe bet when deciding on a restaurant for lunch.

Terrible food! Went with four friends and we all ordered different items to share. Not only was the service incredibly slow, but nothing was tasty at all. The fish was undercooked as well. Probably one of the worst places I have ever been to. Waste of money!

Awesome all around! My group of 4 people got to sit at a cool high top booth right by the kitchen — so we could see everything being made which was awesome. Appetizers — you’ve got to get the chicken wings — they are so super flavorful and you’ll just go YUMMMM when you take a bite. Grilled Artichoke also amazing — you get three of them large ones — grilled to perfection for main — i went with 3 sides for $ 18 which is UNREAL especially if you’d like to try a bunch of items — which i did! went with the asparagus — huge juicy perfect, spaghetti squash — which was tasty and loved it, as well as the quninoa fried rice which had perfect crunch! can’t wait to be in the area to go back only bummer is they do not have espresso shots.

Overall, everything was just okay… I’m going to start with what i liked The Good: –The décor is really nice– definite improvement from the old beau jacks. I didn’t notice any issues with noise like previous reviews. Furthermore, the bar has this awesome library theme going on– very cool. –The server we had was very nice and attentive. The manager also came by to check on us and I liked that. –The coffee was good… — I liked the onion loaf and chicken wings appetizer. — I didn’t order the BLT but those at the table who did order it enjoyed it. — ice cream is from Rays Ice Cream! Way to support local companies! The Bad — I think the menu is overpriced for what you get. I ordered the grilled shrimp, they were small, and nothing to brag about. Furthermore, it is literally just 2 shrimp skewers, nothing with it. For $ 23, it didn’t not even resemble a meal in my opinion. I ordered the Mac and cheese with, and that was good. — the corn cakes were honestly not even edible. Cold and super mushy. — The lamb chops were very small and honestly boring. I think the restaurant has potential but needs a serious menu revamp. I did not enjoy the menu as much as Social’s menu… This place no longer feels like a community staple… Undecided if I will be back.
