I’ve been here twice for a farm tour and we’ve loved it! Farmer Amy is awesome and I was so pleased to see that she would be our guide again. The kids were able to feed baby goats, milk a mama goat, retrieve eggs from the chicken coops and see other animals as well, turkeys, rabbits, llamas, honey bees, and guinea hens. We then went on a wagon ride to see the horses, donkeys and community gardens. For an additional three dollars the kids rode the pony on a short, slow ride led by farmer Amy. I expect that as my son gets older it would be boring but I love to teach him about animals and nature. Farmer Amy is the best!

If you have kids, this is an excellent place to spend a warm weekend evening in September or October. Can’t say anything about the maze, since it didn’t work for us – I think my kid was just too small, and I too paranoid about losing him in there. But they have a really awesome, fun tractor/​wagon ride (pretty hopping), good cider and donuts, a few cute animals to look at and pet, and pony rides. Really fun little place.

On our way to a playground, we drove past and saw signs for a fall festival and decided to stop.
We’re glad we did. They offered animals to pet, pony rides, a bonfire, corn mazes, and wagon rides to a pumpkin patch. It was a great fundraiser and a great time for the family.
We learned a little bit about the school while we were there. Firstly, this school district sounds amazing. We drove past an International Academy on our way and I took note, but then the farm school just blew my mind. It’s an alternative high school that also offers education opportunities for both large and small groups. They have a small wind turbine in front of the school building that helps run the school and farm. They also harvest geothermal heat with a series of pipes that run under their cornfield.
All-​in-​all it was a neat experience.

Bowers farm is a great educational venue with professional and knowledgeable staff. I started by taking my want to be farmer son for a week of summer camp. To say he loved it is an understatement. He wanted to go back the very next week! He learned so much about animals and farming. I decided to attend a fund raiser a couple of weeks later and the event was top notch. Excellent food, great silent auction items, a fun goat milking contest and lots of staff on hand to answer questions. I asked a staff person about leasing a goat for my goat obsessed son. Her reply? We’ve never done that but lets sit down and talk about it. We are attending our first 4h meeting in a couple of weeks. We are looking forward to a long term relationship with them and hopefully a garden plot next summer! I see one other review that’s not so good and I say if you are outside there are going to be bugs, last year corn was short everywhere due to lack of rain. I guess this year it will be 10 feet! I cant wait! !! The animals are not in tiny pens and there many animals all very well cared for. Oh and make sure you vist Mac the Belgian whose face markings are the shape of the. of MI!

My son just started summer camp here and he loves it. I even wish I could spend the day here. They have so many animals and they are well cared for by all the children and staff. (This is in requards to the other comment) I have not been to the corn maze but I love the farm.

This place is a joke. I went here for the corn maze (not haunted) and supposed wagon ride. When we arrived the line to buy tickets was extremely slow and there was mass confusion among employees and customers. We went to get something to eat. They advertised fresh donuts and cider. Well if fresh donuts is repackaging krispy kreme donuts and claiming them as your own, well then they do (donuts looked just like krispy kreme and we saw krispy kreme boxes in the kitchen trash, talk about unethical). The cider tasted awful, no cider mill cider that is for sure. So we moved on to this highly talked about wagon ride (from the staff that is). Over a dozen people were waiting and asking where the wagon ride was. Oh the abandoned wagon without a driver 45 mins after the place opened. So after waiting forever we bounced to the maze. Talk about a lame maze. Brower Farm lied and said the corn was seven feet tall, considering I am 5ft 6 inches and the corn stalks were shorter than me, I dont think it was any where near 7 feet. The maze had all of these areas where the stalks were knocked down, maybe you should mark maze trails so people know where to go because it is confusing. The maze was disgusting, muddy (it hadn’t rained in a few days, poor drainage) and bugs everywhere. I have never seen more clouds of bugs. Gross. It was like something from the movies. I couldn’t wait to leave. Worst corn maze ever and I have been to several different places. I would never recommend this place to anyone. They make it out like there is this huge farm, oh you mean the 1 rabbit, 3 chickens, 1 llama, and 1 sheep. Weak. These poor animals that are there are abused by some unattended children poking them while being stuck in tiny pens. Where is Peta when you need them? You can’t even take some of the employees seriously like the weird guy with sauce on his face telling us to be «nice to the corn». What a joke. Save yourself and go elsewhere. At least the weirdo employee provided some humor for the drive home. LOL
