Relax the Back of Bloomfield Hills

I went in this place to check out Mac Motion, as the Mac Motion website said that this place carries their product. Well, that’s not entirely true — you can BUY Mac Motion from them, but they don’t have any of these products on the floor. They claimed that they didn’t care for that product b/​c it didn’t provide zero-​gravity position. So cool, no problem… I sat in a bunch of other chairs. All lovely, and all similar in price to the other recliners my dad had been looking at. The guy helping me out in there was very knowledgeable and very kind. The other worker that came in while I was there was also very friendly and chatted with us too. Overall, it was a very pleasing retail experience. And for someone that really doesn’t like to shop, that’s saying a lot. Maybe b/​c I was the only one in there (that helps) and perhaps because the parking was ample. Either way, I walked away feeling like I still had enough life in me to make it through the rest of the day — not a common feeling I have after shopping. If you need to get some home goods that are kind to your back, this is a good place to start. Of course, there are a lot of REALLY expensive things in this place… but there are some reasonably priced things in there too.

The worst … I went into the store looking for a massager for my neck. The sales rep (no name tag, shirt tails out) was more interested in the Tigers game on TV. Every time he heard a sound from the TV he looked up at the game.
The piece of equipment didn’t work. Rather than getting one that worked he showed me something else that was open. With that someone else walked in the store… he turned and walked away without a word .
I took his lead… I walked out, never to return to that store again !
