Great friendly staff… place is laid out strangely and is not conducive to peak workout times with floorspace. Please… stop wasting space that could be better utilized… ie movie theater.

Gym is now called«Club Fitness.» Owner’s changed from Gold’s Gym because franchising fee(s) doubled plus some other reasons associated with Gold’s Gym name. I’ve been a member since 1999 and have made the decision to cancel my membership. due to current employment demands I’m not using the facility and can not justify the monthly expense. Went in yesterday, 9÷1÷12, and Lacey handled, or tried to handle request. Suggestion to Lacey, when someone requests to cancel I understand you need to try and save the membership but if member states that they want it cancelled do not show your displeasure and hand the paperwork with an insincere ‘good luck.’ They way you handled this was a testament to your youth and inexperience. What you should have said/done was«I understand and I hope we will see you back in the future.» Your half-ass ‘good luck’ will stay with me and will be part of my consideration to re-join.

As the previous reviewer stated, this place is now called Club Fitness. I’ve been going here for almost 10 years now and there’s a reason I still go here after all that time. This place has continued to grow and improve. You can tell the owner or owners of this gym know what they are doing and know how to run a gym properly. Everything is clean, all the weights are in order and organized. They have strict rules that you put all weights back where you got them or you risk losing your membership. The employees at the gym are constantly walking around and making sure things are clean and in order. There are lots of free weights, benches, machines, cables and a large cardio section. The machines are always maintained and if they break down then they are fixed relatively quickly. The cool thing is that once in awhile they will introduce a new piece of equipment so things don’t always stay the same. Pretty up to date locker room with showers. Lots of flat screen TV’s. There is a kid’s center for parents who want to work out without having to keep an eye on their kids. There’s tanning. There’s classes. There is a juice/shake bar. There is a small boxing area with speed bags and a heavy bag — although the heavy bag is one sorry looking instrument badly in need of a replacement. There is also a women’s only area away from the main gym area. The membership fees are relatively good. You just have to keep your eyes open for specials. I’ve been paying about $ 19-$ 20 a month which is a reasonable price for what you get. This is a solid gym for the serious weightlifter and also the weekend warrior. Everyone who works out here is very respectful, friendly and minds their own business.

Note: this gym is now called Club Fitness. This is really a gym for people who are serious about working out. A large percentage of the gym members are bodybuilders. I’m not one, but it’s an environment that can intimidate people if they are not comfortable with their workout routine. That said, I’m a big fan. People don’t stand around talking, and are efficient about their workouts. As a result, there’s not a long wait for any of the machines or weight benches, even during high-traffic times. Plus, even though the majority of members are serious fitness buffs, many of them are very friendly and willing to provide advice on workout techniques.
