Lowe Franklin & Son

Don’t let the fact that all 3 reviewers (so far) are from California… Franklin Lowe & Son is an awesome plumber for the area around Glen Ridge and Bloomfield NJ. My family has been using them for *generations* — literally. Since the early 1960’s. Scott is great. Best. Plumber. Ever. I haven’t found anything like Franklin Lowe & Son in California, alas.

Since finding a good plumber that is honest and reliable, I feel it is important to recommend and support a local plumber that fits this description.
Scott Lowe has serviced our home and has arrived on time and works fast. Sometimes when you call you do get a voice mail but the calls are usually returned that day.
What I appreciate is that their business has been in the area for decades (I believe Scott is the grandson of the founder) and he is very honest, and will not do work that is not needed immediately. He even told me to wait on one repair and save the money for now. Many plumbers would not do that (at least ones I worked with in the past).
I would highly recommend Franklin Lowe and Sons, good service and honest work.

This is that quintessential «good» plumber you tell all your friends about. The owner’s name is Scott and he is as professional as they come. If he doesn’t answer your call directly, he will return your call well within 24 hours if it isn’t an emergency and within minutes for emergency calls. I have been using him since 1996 for various plumbing jobs and just this past month I gave him the business of converting our old oil burner to a natural gas one. He personally came for the estimate and even measured our radiators to put the perfect sized boiler in. He and his staff had the entire job done in 2 days. We were out of heat for only hours. I recommend this plumber for all your plumbing needs for people in the Bloomfield, Glen Ridge, Montclair and surrounding areas.
