Love ‘em. Try the Gyros & fries. Or the cheeseburger club. Or their clam chowder, usually Friday & Saturday. Their Pizzas & grinders are good, as are the salads. Seafood is good, too. Refills on soda. They’re also equipped with a full bar and have plenty of seating available. My go — to place for fun eating out. The family that owns this restaurant are pleasant and outgoing. Treat yourself to some of Bloomfield’s best food. 5*****

More Greek style pizza. This place used to be fantastic but recently I paid them a visit and the pizza was much thinner. Even though the pizza had cooled significantly, the cheese wouldn’t even stick to the pizza. Disappointed. Maybe I’ll give them another chance in the future.

Grabbed take out from this place on a very hungover Sunday morning. Got the chicken cutlet grinder and the jalapeño popper appetizer. Park ave is located in a small strip with plenty of parking so it was convenient. The inside was cute and cozy and service was friendly. The grinder was nothing to write home about but it definitely got the job done. The sauce to chicken to bread ratio was pretty good, with some parts of the grinder being soggy due to the sauce. Jalapeño poppers were a solid app as well. Overall, nothing outstanding but a good spot to grab take out from since it is not far from home for me. I’ll try the pizza and post again!

We were in Bloomfield looking for something new to try. We came across Park Ave Pizza. I probably should have read the reviews before. We were here for lunch and the place was half empty. There was only one server and it took about 35 minutes from when we ordered the food until it came out. I thought it was a pretty good price for the specials which included sandwich side and beverage for about $ 7. Although there wasn’t too much spectacular here. I will probably be back for one of the specials again. The food wasn’t that bad. The place looks kind of divey and it gets a 7 on my 1 – 10 diveyness scale. It was clean however it could really use some updating inside.

Just tried Park Avenue today. I got a meatball grinder and a soda it cost me over 12 bucks ouch. It didn’t even come with fries or chips. The grinder itself was alright but had way too much sauce. It made it hard to eat. Maybe their pizza is better? I know I won’t be getting a grinder again.

Had the hungs one Sunday evening so the hubby and I looked for something close by. The hubby remembered hearing that Park Avenue Pizza had good grinders so that’s what we ordered. We ordered by phone and was told they would be ready in 20 mins. 20 mins later the hubby went by and they were ready. I ordered a ½ Eggplant for myself and a whole Cold Cut for hubby. They misheard and made both ½. They quickly realized the mistake and offered to make another ½ for my hubby but he stuck with the ½. For his arteries’ sake I’m glad he did because the portions are massive! I had a hard time finishing ½ of my ½. I’ll be happy to have the leftovers though b/c it was yummmmm. Hubby says his was one of the best he’s ever had. We’ll definitely be back!

I grew up with this place as our family pizza spot. It will always be my favorite place. I absolutely LOVE their pizza. The tuna is fantastic too. There is a family feel here and you will always run in to a local on your way in or out. I encourage everyone to check this place out. You will be glad you did.

We’ve been long time customers of Park Avenue Pizza… tonight may have ended our love affair with this place. I ordered a Gyro Platter… it does come with a Greek salad which was fine but for the proper dressing. The gyro itself was horrid… I should have sent it back but didn’t because it had taken a while to get our food and I didn’t want to have to wait any longer. We will probably give it another try… but will NEVER order another Gyro… the dressing/sauce was like cream cheese… ugh!!!

Simply one of the best places around. Park Ave has consistently fantastic, fresh, and generous amounts of food as well as an outstanding staff! My family and I have been going to Park Ave for over twenty years. This family-owned and run restaurant is our go-to establishment. We know we can always get great food and service at Park Ave. The food is always high quality and fresh. Park Ave offers a wide array of choices, including numerous kinds of salads, grinders, and pizzas. Everything is made to order, so you can choose exactly what you feel like having – and it will without a doubt be exactly what you want! Park Ave also offers different beers for those who want to have something on tap to go with their pizza or sandwich. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the generous amounts of food. The sandwiches have massive amounts of meat on them, and the side salad has so much lettuce and other delectable tidings that it can be considered the main meal at any other restaurant. The staff and servers at Park Ave are also absolutely fantastic. They are always kind and very efficient. They work incredibly hard and know how to manage waves of crowds that are inevitably filing in the doors. The owners are very, very friendly and kind, and work hard to make their restaurant the best it can be and the best around(which, I find, it is!!). Park Ave will be your go-to place, too. You will definitely not be disappointed once you experience its food and service!

This place serves up excellent Central CT Pizza and Italian with that Greek flair that I miss. Their meatballs are awesome. I had them on a grinder. Anyone who says otherwise is itching for a fight. My daughter got eggplant pizza. Off the frigging hook. Are you looking for ambience and great service? Move on down the road. Are you looking for tasty, old school Greek Style pizza and grinders served on melamine plates? This is your place.

Not happy. $ 4.10 to add black olive slices from a can to a large pizza. Really? And the pizza was just ‘meh. Will be trying other places nearby; this would be a last resort.

Being a native to the Greater Hartford area, I am aware that this restaurant has been in existence for decades, but I believe that fact mostly speaks to the place’s FORMER level of quality. I formerly LOVED their pizza, the cheese was delicious, the sauce had somewhat of a sweetness to it, and the crust was always crispy. NOW, it’s not the same. The prices have gone up and the quality has gone down. The dough is very soggy, the crust is stale, and the toppings are regularly overcooked to the point of resembling jerky. I did not want to accept that one of my favorite pizza joints was no longer worth visiting, so I kept returning, trying new concoctions, but I had to ultimately accept that their pizza now tastes like reheated frozen pizza that I can buy at the grocery store for ½ the price. The staff has always been real nice and professional, and it’s possible that the other menu items are tasty, but as their name indicates, it’s largely a pizza joint, and their pizza is currently not very good.

SLLLOOOWWW service. Barely-there bar and a poorly mixed drink. Our pizza dough wasn’t baked fully so it was really doughy. French fries were good though! Went up to the front counter to pay our bill and the servers were eating right there. Two other staff were arguing and handling food without gloves. Way too overpriced for the average type of food. Probs won’t be heading back any time soon.

What a pleasant surprise. From the outside Park Ave Pizza look like a run of the mill pizza joint. But looks can be deceiving because its more like a diner than a pizza & grinder place. Oh, and they have a FULLSERVICEBAR too !! Dropped in for a Thursday lunch and when I scanned the menu, I saw a ton of very nice daily specials(sandwich or entrée, appetizer and a drink for about seven bucks. I took a stab at one of the Thursday specials– for $ 7,45 I had a broiled chicken wrap served with soup or chips or fries or rings or slaw, plus a drink. Pretty awesome, eh? The wrap was proof that very good food doesn’t have to be fancy or complicated, The wrap was simple, but perfectly executed. Piping hot broiled chicken(tender and lean not gristly), cold lettuce, cold tomato, a light ranch-mayo and a wrap. Thats all, but it was excellent. My side was Italian Wedding Soup –also served piping hot with a flavorful broth, escarole, small pasta pearls, tasty meatballs, and shredded carrots. Service was pleasant, and the meal was a very nice experience.

Sad to say my last few experiences at Park Ave Pizza were not up to scratch. Either the kitchen does not understand what«light on the sauce» means, or the service staff cannot communicate this simple request. My wife makes this request because too much sauce upsets her stomach. Each of the last half-dozen times we have eaten here, and my wife ordered the chicken parmigiana dinner, light on the sauce, it came swimming in sauce. The timing of service seems to be faltering as well. On more than one occasion it took over ten minutes to get our salad, when it usually comes out within a minute or two. To make matters worse, the garlic bread was also late, not arriving until a few minutes before the main course. Before things totally get out of hand, Park Ave, better focus on the attentions to detail that made you a town favorite.

My coworker loves this place and after hearing her talk about their pizzas I had to try. We ordered take out last Saturday. It was a busy night and I was only midway through my shift, with 14 hours left I knew I had to have a meal high in protein. I ordered the small Special pizza because it was cheap and had many of the topics I wanted. I requested anchovies on the side because I didn’t know what to expect. Usually I like my specialty pizza from Harry’s but when on a budget this would do. Pizza arrived hot and piled high with toppings. They loaded the pizza with tons of toppings, the downside was I didn’t really know which was which. Sure the pizza was piled high with toppings but a part of me missed my quality toppings from Harry’s. Downer: They don’t make mediums either a large or a small. I think I should have ordered the cheese because getting a specialty pizza from a place like this was sorta setting me up for«regrets».
