Awesome authentic Mexican Cuisine. Love the Pastor meat with any combination of entrée. Very spicy Pico de Gallo. Recommend for a quick tour of Mexico!

This is for the new Newark, NJ shop. Great food, great service. Easy to go to on your lunch break. Takes a little long to make, but only if you have to walk a distance, but you can call your order in ahead of time too! We’ll definitely do that next time. The food was well worth the wait though! All items come with nachos!

The cashier helped me navigate the menu and I ended up getting a chicken torta– DELISH! A chicken burrito bowl– SUPERB! A quesadilla– TASTY! with a slight bit of heat. The place is small so I ordered to go but there is some seating. They offer a decent amount of food for the price and the wait wasn’t too long especially since it’s cooked to order. Enjoyed the food. I will be back.

Hands down one of my favorite last minute meal places to eat. Never is disappointing, the nachos are beyond insane, hold the picco de gayo if you don’t want it spicy. Service is great on some days… There is one miserable lady and one really cool lady… But delivery is always fast and easy! . It’s not«chipotle or Tex mex». It’s authentic Mexican food in terms of very simple ingredients and a clean flavor. I think people expect like spice overload, and that’s not what genuine Mexican food is like. Side note: this place makes me super happy because it is just like the amazing drive thru authentic Mexican food places in Southern California. Love love love. Horchata drink is awesome too!

Wow! I can’t believe I haven’t been to this place sooner. I came here on a weekday afternoon with my husband for lunch. We both decided to go with their taco options. He ordered the Mexican tacos which are your traditional tacos topped with avocado, diced onions, and your choice of meat. I opted for the Americano which is similar to the Mexican tacos the only difference is the tacos come with melted cheese. We also ordered the nachos which were very great. We choose chicken for our tacos and nachos. The chicken is very flavorful and juicy. Oh and their complimentary salsas/sauces are great, especially the green sauce. Can’t wait to come back here and try their other menu items.

I’ve was hooked after I went to the Bloomfield Ave. store in Bloomfield. I would pass by every day and see a small crowd at lunchtime and I just had to stop. Glad I did… and on my way home last night I stopped by the E. Rutherford store and had a dish they called the Hawaiiano Alambre. All I have to say is O… M…G!!! Simply A.W.E.S.O.M.E!!! This is definitely going to be a regular haunt for lunch or dinner… ORBOTH! :) Great job guys. Your food is fast, fresh and delicious and the staff was really helpful and courteous. Thanks for the terrific addition to my weekly menu choices. All the best and MERRRRRYCHRISTMASAND A PROSPEROUSNEWYEAR!!!

Caught a glimpse of this place while driving by and turned around to go back and try it. The food was really good and inexpensive! I love that they provide a variety of salsas, which make the meal complete with any Mexican dish in my opinion. And they’re not afraid of using spice, which is great!(Not everything is spicy, just wanted to make a note of that for those who don’t like spice). I had the chicken quesadilla with a side of rice. I tried not to devour the entire thing in one sitting but I couldn’t help myself — it was GOOD. I’ll definitely be back here sometime soon to try more. I’m glad there’s a good taco spot close to where I live! The parking situation is a bit weird(I think I parked incorrectly… it was dark…), but there’s indoor seating available.

We’ve been back twice since we tried it last week-many seem to pick one or the other in comparison to El Matador nearby-not wise. Let’s clear up that El Matador is authentic Mexican food-if you like burritos with sour cream and all that, realize that’s Cali-Mex food. Which is what this place does, well. I’ve tried the tostadas with carne al pastor and the meat was very tasty. My husband had the steak tostadas and said he liked them very much. Second visited resulted in both of us trying the chicken tostadas, and we both liked those, too. The food tastes fresh, nothing is stale and they were open pretty late which is great. We also ordered the cheese flautas. These were an unexpected pleasure-delicious, gooey inside with corn and crisp outside. I know flautas to be friend rolled corn tortillas but this was different. We also ordered the guacamole and chips which I find underwhelming. I’ve been spoiled by the chips at el Matador-I will say if that’s what you’re having a hankering for, skip it here. Although I haven’t tried their other dishes, I am certain the Cali-Mex goodness probably echoes consistent throughout their food. The woman whom rung us up both times seems a bit stand offish, which is kind of a turn off when you arrive at a business. But hey, the food is good and the place is clean. Can’t have it all everywhere, right?

I have been here several times and they never disappoint. Their pork and beef are so good, I never think of ordering chicken. I love the al pastor chilango style burrito. It doesn’t come with rice, just cheese, guac, pico de gallo, and pork. If you order it spicy, beware that it means they’re adding freshly chopped jalapeños WITH seeds to your food. Delicious, but hot. The steak or carnitas also make for great tacos. You can also eat for less than $ 10, which is always a miracle these days.

We were in route from Maryland to New York and decide to break from fast food dining and give this place a try. It is only a few minutes off the NJ turnpike. The food here is really good. I had the chicken tacos and my fiancé ordered the slow roasted pastor burrito. After tasting the paator. I wish I would have gone with that meat option. It was a unique offering and a really juicy meat. I also loved that they give you a few homemade toppings(red, tomatillo, pickled and limes) to try with your meal. However, the service was more than disappointing. We were greeted unpleasantly and questions about the menu were taken as an offence. We were the only people in the place so it wasn’t clear why we were being rushed and talked down to. With so many dining options and Unilocal to help you find them, I try another restaurant.

The food in this place deserves 5 stars… it’s delicious!!! However, I gave only 2 stars because of the way I was treated. I went there with my daughter. I ordered tacos and she had a burrito bowl. When our food came it was completely covered in chopped up raw onions. I HATE raw onions. When the lady handed me the plate I said«I’m so sorry. I know this is my fault for not realizing this had onions, but I can’t eat this.» She gave my a dirty look, put the plate down in front of me and said, «I have other customers.» I waited a few minutes and she never came back to help me. I brought my plate up to the counter and said, «Excuse me, I can’t eat this with all these raw onions.» She looks at me and says, «I told you it had onions twice.» Obviously, this was not the case because as soon as I hear the word onions, I say no onions! She then proceeded to ask me if I wanted to place another order! I said, «No, I would like to fix the order that I already placed and paid for.» She then crossed her arms and said, «You don’t know how to say Please»…WHAT!!! You have to be kidding me. That is where I lost my patience and explained to her that I basically had to beg her for food that I already paid for and I will not tolerate this treatment. I demanded she put my food order in. She then tells me that I need to calm down because nobody talks to her that way! Meanwhile my 17 year old looks at me and says, «Mom, I can’t believe she’s treating paying customers like this!» My 17 year old who ate her food with onions that she doesn’t like either because she didn’t want to ask the same lady for food without onions. When I FINALLY got my tacos, minus hundreds of chopped up little pieces of onion, it was fantastic. The cooks are wonderful. That lady though, according to the receipt, Consuelo M, needs some serious training in customer service!

This place was a quick find after attempting Los Matadores nearby that had a 45 minute wait! EEK! Needless to say we were excited to find this tiny little diner-like Taqueria empty to order whatever our heart desired. We orderedd Chorizo Tostadas, Pork Tacos and Tacos al Pastor(aka questionable hanging gyro — like meat). My favorite hands down were the Chorizo Tostadas, as they were crunchy, full of flavor, and packed with fresh ingredients like diced onions, cilantro and fresh jalapenos! Be aware to ask for no jalapenos if you don’t want to end up with Kylie Jenner lips. The pork taco, or pernil, was delicious as well. Fresh pulled pork layered on my taco with diced tomatoes and cilantro. If you eat in, they also offer you a variety of sauces and plenty of lime. As for the tacos al Pastor, these were my least favorite, maybe because they just looked weird laying in my taco, so red, and the meat wasn’t as warm as the other, or maybew because I wasn’t expecting hanging meat. Either ways, I would skip these. I want to give this place five stars, but the lady behind the counter really seemed bored with life and wasn’t very friendly, just bleh. At one point she did start singing some Mexican music which I appreciated, but that’s as much excitement as I saw out of her. They also don’t have ice for your drinks, which also annoys me, because I love ice. There is parking in the back of the place, and yes the area and diner look kind of sketchy, but completely worth the drive over.

I had the tacos Americano with chicken and my husband had the steak burrito. Both were delicious and filling. Both had a ‘kick’ but not too bad. A little on the salty but but still very juicy and not greasy. The restaurant itself is a little dirty and dingy looking. It was really hot inside so we ended up taking our food to go. They definitely need to work on the cleanliness of the whole restaurant. The tables were all sticky. We will definitely come back for the food. Hopefully this place under goes a little TLC, especially since it’s new to the area.

Big burritos sometimes come in small packages! You may drive by thinking very little of the tiny box that is Taqueria Los Gueros of Bloomfield’s location but trust me, this is one place definitely worth cramming your way into. For it’s small lot that only holds about 6 cars in back, make the effort to get in for some of the finest Mexican meal you’re going to come across this side of the Mississippi. With a menu that’s simple and sweet, you’ll be sure to find something to fall in love with and give your tongue a good kick in the bud! I went for the Chicken Burrito with guacamole and everything about this burrito separated itself from all others. First off, they texture of the wrap was soft and flexible yet crispy and flaky at the same time which was amazing. Second, they did not skimp on that guacamole! You really get the sense that you just downed an entire avocado with plenty of chicken to spare. Finally, you get a little kick, just enough on those taste buds to know that you’ve been consuming some top quality food meant to challenge your palate with a little zest! To pair it all off and really give your mouth a workout, they offer 4-dips for you to mix and match to your liking.

I’ll start with the two negatives. There is no parking and not much seating:-/. Besides that the tacos were great! I recommend this spot and will be back soon. We just had this place cater a party and everyone raved about them! Everything from the sauces to the meats were fresh and tasty. Yum, yum, yum, yum!
