One of the best bars in Bloomfield, and I have visited all of them !!! They have a bunch of brilliant bartenders who have really turned the place around. I was happy to see a group of local bartenders all in one location. Rhoda Melissa Tim and Paula are amazing ask for them when you get there, you won’t be disappointed. I was there Friday night with about four of my friends, Tim made us this amazing drink called «The Happening» the muddled fruit was awesome !!! Paula was entertaining as well !!! She made us this peach strawberry cocktail, delicious !!! Can’t wait to go back every Friday night for these two :)

NYC vibe, with a NJ location! If you love to dance and drink great cocktails, this is your new go to spot! Bartenders are fun, friendly, and gorgeous! There is always a crowd/line outside and the DJs are always insane.

Poor service!!! I went in with a party of 10 people at 12am and the bartender immediately gave a bad look as if she was upset we were there. All the chairs were up and she Told us they were getting ready to close. The hours of operation say until 2 AM. We bought a round and were rushed to leave by the manager because he said he wanted to go home early! A New bar with terrible service, as a local client I will not recommend this place, GO down to Correys where the bartenders are friendly and happy to have you!!!

Amazing place, I absolutely love the karaōke nights! Sexy Saturday you can catch me doing The Bernie in the middle of dance floor, lit like BIC. Wonderful atmosphere where people can have fun and feel safe. Security really keeps an eye out for you, in and outside the premises. The pink-neon light shines brilliantly on my Rolex as i slowly sip an old fashion. Choice selection of whiskey and they got specialty drinks up the wazoo. The Barmaids are all very beautiful and highly skilled at what they do. Ill be back this tuesday to sip and sing karaōke with the magnificent Ms. Nicolette.

Met up with some friends here for drinks… As far as bars are concerned, this place has that new and exiting appeal. Well thought out and put together, modern style. Bloomfield (meh) was blessed by this place opening up. The type of place you would expect in a more trendy area… The food was surprisingly good, even though its not really a sit-down-and eat place. I also opted to try some drinks I never heard of, and was pleasantly surprised. The whole staff was very nice and friendly and I was impressed. Well Done!

First, let me start by saying I am hard on the «stars» (lol) I rarely give any place on Unilocal 5 stars; call me biased but I am loving The Bar!
I have been living in Bloomfield for a long time & there are few places with the night life feel. So their was definitely a demand for it in the neighborhood & it has been fulfilled. After driving passed a few times my boyfriend & I dropped in on a Friday night for the first time.
Ambiance: LOVE! I am big on décor & detail and this place hits the nail right on the head. The bright lighting, comfortable bar chairs & the awesome wallpaper of artist gives the bar a cool modern look.
Drinks/Food/Prices: I had «the happening» has a kick to it & the mango Mai tai, sweet but good. Nice presentation on both. I also had the spring chicken salad it was great. Prices were standard $ 8-$ 9. Free entry & parking lot.
About 9:30/10 the DJ came in & was playing all the good music! Hip hop, Spanish, top 40, techno. I really enjoyed it & will be returning.

I’m a huge fan of the place. I’ve been going here for probably 6 out of the last 8 Thursdays (yes, it’s college night, but people are pretty chill). Great music (mix of 90s and 00s).
The food is surprisingly REALLY good. Their spinach pie is actually one of the better spanakopitas I’ve had. LOTS of spinach filling. Very well seasoned and balanced. I’ve also had the sliders; those are plump and delicious.
The beer selection is meh, but I can get through the night with Goose Island IPAs as their regular and Brooklyn Summer Ale as their current seasonal.
And lastly I really like the people working here. Great group of people.
Definitely a great new spot you can grab a bite to eat during the day or to hang out at night.

Every night something going on Mondays sing you heart out. Tuesday’s chill out

Jason V. and I stopped in here on a Friday night and we were both quite impressed, not only by the crowd, but also by WHERE we were. Very modern, chic bar/lounge that would make you think twice about knocking lack of night life options in Bloomfield. In fact, I would say this is the ONLY night life option in Bloomfield. So, kudos to the owner/s of this very uncreatively titled bar for finding a market for what seems to be a place that will be heavily frequented by Bloomfield College students.
The only reason I’m not at 4 stars is because the bar service was absolutely atrocious. I’m hoping this is just because the place is relatively new and they’re still working out the kinks, but that’s not the case if I’m correct in saying one of the two bartenders was either high or drunk, or both. Given the size of the crowd here, this bar needs not one, but two, stable people to sling drinks.

This is a new bar in the area and u could still smell the fresh wood on the floor…
Came here for a couple of drinks and an appetizer…
Can’t complain service was phenomenal but they don’t have a drink menu at a bar … odd …
Ordered fried calamari as an appetizer it was fairly good for bar food and ordered some mojitos…
It was worth every penny… it had plenty of alcohol and fresh mint leaves and fresh lime juice…
Music was great so was the atmosphere…
It’s a small bar so get there early to find an empty seat…
Will definitely be back…

I decided it was only fair to give «The Bar» another chance. I went back on Monday, February 29^th, for karaōke, a few drinks and something to eat. I was served immediately at the bar and ordered a «Shock Top» served properly with an orange wedge. The karaōke started on time at 8pm. I ordered the souvlaki, which was excellent. The pizzas looked delicious, especially «The Grande» that is loaded with toppings. The owner, George, came later in the night and was welcoming everybody and thanking them for their business. I’ll be back!

Not a bad little spot in Bloomfield. I like to see that more then just chain spots are moving in. It was nice to have several good beer options and the menu was not too bad either. I’m not sure I’ll go back for food but I’ll go back for a drink.

I visited the bar today with a friend and the beers and spanakopita were awesome. The bartender was personable and the owner even came out and said hi. I plan on going back and trying more of the menu and some of the mixed drinks.

So far so good, one of the many new bars opening in town and I have to say my experience there went very well, the drinks tasted delicious and were not expensive at all and the food was FANTASTIC especially the souvlaki like seriously it was amazing. All in all great place great atmosphere if you’re into smaller joints and want to get together with a group of friends good music good food good drinks great prices! Hopefully they can keep it up !
