I had a very decent $ 20 pedicure here about a year ago when my regular place unexpectedly started closing on Sundays. Now, that regular place is gone and so I made an appointment at Viva. After waiting 20 minutes past my appointment time, listening to blaring loud music and bad TV on a VERY hot day with insufficient A/C, I walked out. Nope.

Best spa pedicure in the area — I’m not super into my nails, but super relaxing. Daniel gives the BEST massages — and I mean the BEST anywhere(and I am a major spa junkie). Everyone there is super nice — even after I moved further way I still will only go here.

Absolutely amazing! I highly recommend the spa pedicure. As a special treat the owner gave me a shoulder and back massage… literally one of the best things to ever happen to me!

Awesome place and great service. Daniel makes it an effort to get to know each and every customer by name. It’s a nice personal touch having someone greet you by name. Reservations are strongly recommended. My girl is Linda and she is so sweet! The place is full of air filtering plants. Gorgeous! Very relaxing and clean. A little clutter with speakers and other stuff but I can ignore that. The prices are incredibly affordable. I usually went back and forth to different salons. But once I came across Viva I made this my only go to spot, unless I’m out of town.

I made an appointment for 3pm. It was 3:30 and I still wasn’t sitting for my pedicure. The lady next to me said she had been there since 1pm. On top of that they had no designated waiting/sitting area. Please don’t waste your time with this place. Why make appointments if the owners don’t respect your time enough to keep them.

I go here every two weeks. Clean, affordable, friendly staff, very personable owner and they don’t rush thru the mani/pedi massages. The owner is a professional massage therapist, so his massages are the best. Cons: You cannot tip on your credit card.

The Good: This place is close by my house and decent in price. They offer an array of service from reflexology to facial, massage etc. The nail techs are quiet and friendly. They do their best to greet every customer by name instead of a simple«what do you need done, ok pick a color» like your typical salon. They also include a massage and hot stone foot rub in the pedicure service. The Bad: This place is full of clutter and equipment all over the place. I’ve been there several times and have asked the techs not to be so rough when cutting my cuticles on my hands and feet or pushing them back. Initially I was never made aware that they were by appointment only until the guy in there mentioned it after I’d asked why I was being charged an additional ten bucks for service(it was a Tuesday) and only on certain days do they allow walk-ins. In addition while holding my credit card at the front desk(which was far enough that others heard what he said, he says«I assume you have cash for the tip or should I just put it on the card» HOWRUDEANDINAPPROPRIATE! Not only was I being charged an additional ten bucks but he almost insisted I leave a tip. I will never go back to this place ever.

I love to get my pedicure done here. They are always nice and accommodating. Make sure to call for an appointment. This place does get busy, even during the day.

I’m not your typical Jersey girl, in the sense that I don’t feel obligated to consistently keep up with my nails and whatnot, but when I’m in the mood to feel better about myself or give myself a bit of pampering, this is where I’ve gone for the last five years or so. First off, this place is consistently clean, uses good quality products, and has such a relaxing vibe… I actually fell asleep there once… for hours(and they let me). My service of choice is the Elizabeth Arden spa pedicure, which is the best thing you can do to make your feet and legs feel amazing whole relaxing for a good hour plus. Don’t do this when you’re in a rush. Do it when you have time to unwind and relax yourself. Bring a travel cup with some green tea, and maybe headphones. It’s the best. Another reviewer below mentions something hurtful and unpleasant about Daniel’s massage techniques. Daniel’s massages, unlike most cheesy massages you get from a typical nail salon, are actual extremely skillful and more along the line of what you’d expect from a high end spa. If you’re creeped out by skill, and a massage that completely relaxes you, then by all means don’t let him near you. But if you’re like me, and thankful to get an amazing massage for less than half of what you’d pay at a fancier place, DOIT. He’s great. Period. The girls that work here are fantastic as well. Friendly, patient, and skilled. What more could you ask for?

I have tried many nail salons in the area. I have to say that I have the best results here. They definitely prefer patrons who make appointments as opposed to «walk-ins». I had a few facials there and really was happy with them.

I used to live in Bloomfield and found this place to be pretty sanitary and their nail polish lasts long even when I finally do dishes! However, the customer service leaves something to be desired. I called in on a saturday to ask if I could come in and the lady told me yes. When I got there I told her I was the one who called and she said ok pick a color so I did and sat down. After 15 min Daniel the owner comes out and hi,(he knows my name) and asks do I have an appointment. I told him what had happened and he looked in the book and said I don’t have you down. I said but I called and proceeded to show him my cell phone. He looked at the book and said but you said 4pm. I told him how can I tell you 4pm when i called at 4:30 and showed him my cell. He then told me they were busy and said can I come the next day. I told him no you told me to come and I live far! He didn’t care and didn’t want to listen and frankly I don’t appreciate the terrible customer service. The same woman who I spoke with just kept her head down but we were right in front of her so it’s not as if she didn’t hear us! I walked out promising never to return. I have to say another reviewer once wrote she got a massage from Daniel and it weirded her out and I gotta say the same happened to me once. a friend once got me a gift card to there cuz she knows even though I moved out of bloomfield I still patronize the place but this time I was so not relaxed, he was massaging between my cheeks! I never told her cuz she would have felt so horrible since it was her gift card that exposed me to his molestational ways but yea, don’t take your young daughters there for a massage! Since the cute girl who used to work Sundays had her baby and left I feel no need to expose my self to poor customer service, a ton of other places can make a good polish last!

I’ve been going here for over a year now to get a Brazilian wax, and they’ve always charged me 40 bucks for it, which I thought was reasonable. However, the waxers change and some of them are just awful, leaving you bleeding with patches. Recently, I found someone(who wasn’t Korean or Chinese) at Viva, and she took her time and I was satisfied. The last time I went there, they made me wait 20 mins, despite the fact that I had called days in advance to make an appointment, with the waxer I wanted. To add to my frustration, they charged me 60 bucks, for no apparent reason, trying to give me some nonsensical explanation, in broken English. I was highly disappointed with the service and treatment at Viva.
