This place is so cute! I am one of those people referenced in T U.‘s post, racing home madly(although not to a split level or colonial, I wish!) and even though I’ve passed by a million times I’ve never stopped until today. I expected a quaint little farm stand with a greenhouse section. It’s a miniature grocery store inside! A lot will look familiar; there’s regular drinks, sodas, mass produced potato chips. But there’s also more local products — a Simsbury pasta sauce, locally made cheese and yogurt, and of course lots of fruits and veggies. An apple cider doughnut gave me the strength to get home(only $.99), and for dessert we had a yummy sour cream cheese cake from Massachusetts. Very good crunch with the walnuts on the top. It looks like it’ll become a fun place to stop when I need something in a pinch, or just for the heck of it.

Always the freshest and most tasty vegetables around. Quaint New England style building: often a fire in the fireplace during cold weather with free apple cider for customers; cat wandering the premises.

Have stopped here on my way home from work a zillion times. Need some corn to round out dinner?- perfect. Need some veggies to grill tonight? How about some peppers, a nice onion, a zucchini or two, maybe an eggplant –also perfect. How about something to toss into a stir fry– like mushrooms, some ginger, a bunch of scallions, a handful of snow peas, loose leaf baby spinach? Absolutely. Well — you get the picture. The freshest fruits and produce, plus fresh dairy, beverages, frozen goods, bulk dried goods, flowers, mums, whatever is in season. Oh — and the staff and the place’s namesake set new standards in friendly customer service. Why go to a box supermarket, when a jewel like this exists?
