Amazing. The spring rolls are heaven. Garlic and butter oysters are great too, the chicken Marsala was out of this world, thick creamy sauce! But those spring rolls… Yum.

Service is slow. Even though there were only 9 tables and 4 waitresses they ran around like crazy, but not really doing anything. Waited for ten minutes plus to have dishes removed and to get check. Never mind having another beverage. That wasn’t going to happen due to lack of service. Food was mediocre at best. I should have stuck to the simple bar fare of wings, pizza, burgers etc.

Food is good. Service is slow and one night I was there with my family of four, we weren’t done with what we were eating and the waitress actually asked us for our napkins(I guess to wash for next day) who the hell asks a patron for their napkin???

Been here several times and the food and service are great. The chicken Parmesan dinner is delicious and portions are huge. Service is great also.

I have frequented the Mountain View numerous times in order to get a better understanding of the place. One time it’s great, one time it’s not so great. However, it’s been not so great more than it’s been great. The food is inconsistent and the service is mediocre. I prefer the bar area over the dining room, I find I can get better service sitting in the bar area and the ambiance is better.

We stay in the area several times a month and frequent this place often, mainly cause is the only ticket in town, but they have great pizza n huge menu, a big bar tvs, what more can you need, everything we have tried has been good, we almost always sit at the bar n mostly go on sat nights, one thing I would like is if it stayed open later, occasionally the service is slow but again it’s usually cause they are busy, we hardly ever not go somewhere cause of a bad review, you need to try it out yourself, places have bad nights n people will always have a axe to grind, so if you in this area go try it for yourself,

Usually come here when I’m visiting my mom. This place is great. Good pizza and good times. Glad they have a restaurant close enough to walk to. The bars not bad at all either. 5 stars!

When you go to the mountain view and you eat in I would recommend getting there early, they are always packed and it’s hard to find parking. The waiter service and food are very good probably best in bloomingburg. If you order out or to pick up food the food is still great, but the counter people suck. It’s always busy when you call, they don’t take credit cards over $ 10 and don’t except AMEX at all. You would think a place that has this much business would take AMEX. Either way if you dine in I highly recommend any of the burgers there amazing.

A restaurant that doesn’t accept American Express speaks volumes. With dinner bread only, no rolls. Limited choice of soups. Check with wait staff as to any additional seasonings the chef may be adding on prepared food as full disclosure is not provided in the menu description and you may not want to be unpleasantly surprised. May give them one more chance.

This review is a tough one for me. I wish you could rate the staff separate from the food, but you can’t. If they changed their staff this place would be 5 stars. My first time here, I found glass in my salad(ewwww) and the response when I told the server was«Well at least you’re not hurt». I vowed to never go back, but I’ve given it another round twice. The food is great, the white bean and sausage soup is divine. Besides the horrible glass in my salad, I’ve actually never had a bad meal here. I had the penne a la vodka which was the best I’ve had in the area and their Valdestano is pretty delish too. HOWEVER, the service is always terrible. I’ve sat at the bar once and the dining room twice. The staff always look like they’ve sucked on lemons. I’ve never had a member of the staff come back after our meal was served to ask if we needed anything, I’ve always had to ask for a refill of my beverage by flagging my server down. I’ve never gotten a smile, there are no pleasantries exchanged. I waitressed and bartended my way through college and grad school, I expect a certain level of service from other waitresses or bartenders. I know the owners won’t read this, but if you do… Please consider a staff meeting/training on customer service/staff interaction. Your restaurant is a gem, it’s always busy, but you’d have more customers if your staff were more pleasant to the«non-regulars» or out of towners.

I had the meatball on end. It was great as a matter of fact it was much better than the one I had at Tony’s restaurant in Middletown.

Another great visit today. Had the chicken francaise and it was wonderful. Lots of great specials on the menu too. Once again they were busy and we were lucky to slip in early and not need a reservation but on Friday and Saturdays it is a good idea to have one because they are usually packed by 7pm.

I suppose I’m cheating a little by writing a review for a restaurant I didn’t actually eat at, though not for lack of trying. In summary, the staff of Mountain View Restaurant were rude, mean, and unhelpful to the point of maliciousness. If you’d like more detail please read on. My group of 11 people found this restaurant using a Garmin GPS after a weekend of camping. Given how deserted the restaurant was on a Sunday afternoon you would have thought that they would be grateful for 11 hungry people who just wanted a hot meal and to get on the road. Unfortunately no one seemed to have ever given the employees of Mountain View Pizza any customer service training. As you may have gathered from other reviews, this restaurant is split into two sections, a sit down restaurant and a pizza parlor. The restaurant section was closed since they serve alcohol and we arrived before noon on a Sunday. The pizza parlor side has only two tables and three chairs. As part of the group began perusing the menu we asked very politely if we could either sit in the other section, or move chairs from the restaurant to the pizza parlor so that our whole group could sit down to enjoy our food. We were flatly refused, being told that both options were«impossible». We asked if there wasn’t any way that they could accommodate us, since we would love to give them our business, but they were completely unwilling. As we left I asked if there were any restaurants near by that might be able to accommodate our moderately sized group and was told of a diner«just make two left turns, its about two miles down». I thought that it was at least friendly of them to point us in the right direction, but of course it couldn’t be that easy. The«friendly» employee had neglected to tell us that the first left turn would end in a bridge that was under construction, and in fact we would need to go another two miles out of the way. After far longer than necessary we ended up at the Quickway Diner where we were greeted by the exceptionally friendly, helpful staff, and had a great experience.
