Dawn Beckman MD Sc

My sons see Dr. Beckman and I just can’t say enough great things about her. She is amazing with children. She explains everything clearly and thoroughly and really tries to determine the root cause of any issue and doesn’t just treat symptoms. She’s been a pleasure to work with.

Dr. Beckman is a great Allergist!!! So great that I don’t mind driving 70 miles round trip to see her. I suffer from a severe autoimmune hive/​swelling condition and Dr. Beckman has worked tirelessly in helping me get it under control. I have seen other Allergists in the past that would give up on me at some point and just shove steroids at me. Dr. Beckman continues to remain optimistic and hasn’t given up on me at all. She is very up to date with all of the new studies and treatment options for my condition. While my case isn’t yet closed, I am certain that with her help we will get there eventually.

She is one of the few Doctors that takes their time to find what is REALLY wrong with you, instead of trying to cure the symptoms (some doctors just gave me antihistamines and that was it.) She takes the time to make sure that you’ve been diagnosed correctly, and explains to you what is physically going on with your body. She goes through the reasons why she is prescribing medication to you, and what to expect the future appointments.
Not only that, she is genuinely caring person who has no problem treating you like a friend, not a patient. We were talking in the exam room like we were long-​time buddies. I also had some issues with my insurance denying payment for some of my prescriptions, and she went and fought it out with them, keeping me in constant contact and updating on the issues.
