By far the worst customer service i have been there today this afternoonand the two elderly white female that works there are very unwelcomy. Both of the elderly kept frowning every time a customer comes inside the store not only that they wont even help you when tou need something. Very lazy employees. The younger ones that work there are much more helpful and friendlier. Management do something about it cause five below is a nice store too bad its getting a bad rep bec. Of the two elderly white female employees.

Hmmm I thought the Vernon hills location is much better. Or maybe it’s just the time of the year selection. I walked in and 5 minutes later I walked out. Nothing caught my attention. The staff was friendly and the place was cleaned.

Store Review: Shopping on a budget this is the place to check out. I stopped by during Black Friday to check out the 5 dollar pillow pet juniors for my son. Unfortunately I did not see thomas the tank engine, but percy the tank engine. Otherwise the store is a higher end dollar shop and has a lot of ipad/iphone accessory for cheap if you need that. Overall if you know what you are buying this can save you money but the selection is limited. Pros– nothing over 5 dollars, lots of phone accessories Cons– limited selection Hidden deals– It is already a 5 dollar store, what more can you ask if nothing is more than 5 bucks.

I have heard about 5 below but never been here before. I was pleasantly surprised today when we decided to stop in. There was a large variety of things, many of which were name brand. Check out was quick and the staff was friendly.

This is a cool store, and it looks like everything is actually under $ 5, unlike the plethora of «dollar» stores out there which aren’t actually dollar stores anymore. It’s a fun store to walk around and check out different odds and ends. There are a lot of tech items like car chargers, phone cases, even mini hdmi to hdmi adapters. They have a lot of candy(like bottle caps!) and even some cheap sports items like dumbells and balls. I should have shopped here for our the yankee swap because there are a lot of fun items. The layout of this store is cleaner than most dollar stores. I dunno why but most dollar stores just seem kinda dirty. I’m glad to have checked this place out and I will be back. edit: Oh, I just realized this is my 300th review. Nice.

My new favorite store! Perfect for Christmas shopping on a college students budget. I am already planning on going back!

This is kinda like Dollar Store’s older and more refined sister or something. As the name suggests, prices are $ 5 or lower. Some of the things are a deal, but others don’t seem to save you that much. For example, you can get barbells for $ 5 each(which I think is actually a good price), but they also sell bottles of VitaminWater for $ 1.29(which I think is the same price as Target). I liked their selection of cards, but they were still priced about the same as anywhere else. I also liked their $ 5 shirts, but the largest size I could find was a Medium and it looked teeny tiny. I’ll probably just come here for stocking stuffers.

Was pleasantly surprised last week when I came across the grand opening. We had discovered this store in Geneva, IL. I’m happy there’s one so close to home now! Sure, the stuff isn’t super high quality but it’s really not bad considering everything in the store is $ 5 or less. They sell a lot of accessories for phones, laptops, and tablets as well as candy, toys, makeup, etc. One section of the store changes with the seasons/holidays. Right now they have a lot of back to school stuff and then they will switch that out for Halloween.

Grand opening this weekend!!! For those of you who don’t know, Five Below is a discount store where everything is $ 5 or less. This place is a huge step up from your typical dollar store as they carry known name brand items(Hawaiian Tropic sunscreen for $ 4.99 for example). Considering it is opening weekend, the store was very clean and organized… super crowded though. The place does have a very strong rubbery smell from all the cheaper plastic items(as do all the other Five Below locations I’ve been to) but if you can get over that, you will be sure to find a bunch of quirky things. They have tons of candy, cold beverages, electronic gadgets(ear buds, stuff for your ipad, etc), duct tape in every color, lunch boxes, beach towels, Bears/Sox/Cubs/Hawks stuff, magnets, workout gear… the list goes on and on. I really loved that they had greeting cards and really nice gifts bags for a buck(I didn’t notice the prices for the cards). Gift bags are always so expensive so I will definitely be coming here if I ever need one. Noticed a small pet section at this place, I’ve always missed it at other locations. They had a few plastic food dishes, cool food scoops, cat and dog toys… meow! Oh, all sales are final so make your purchases wisely. There are signs posted by the registers stating this fact… also it says that is how they can manage to keep the prices down.
