This was my first ever visit. It was 5:30pm on a Saturday. The piano player was tickling the ivories even in the then empty store. The menu looks basic with no fancy concoctions. I ordered a large vanilla soft cone which I quickly consumed.

Was not impressed. I went in there as a treat with my 4 year old on one of our long walks. We stopped in here and my daughter wanted a cone of hard chocolate ice cream. She took about 2 licks and said she did not like it. Said it tasted funny. I figured it was just a 4 year old being a picky eater. I decided I would just eat it and get her something else. She wouldn’t even take anything else she didn’t want it to «taste funny like the other one». Well once I tried it I was very disappointed. I have heard a few good things about it since we moved back a few months ago. I can’t even say it was somewhat good. I can’t explain how it even tasted. It was not good at all. Definitely had a funny taste. With that I threw a whole cone of ice cream in the garbage. I knew saying anything was not an option as the man didn’t really understand what I was saying and the wife was very short with me when I told her what we wanted. She had to then tell him and walked away. I was not impressed with the décor or cleanliness of this place either. I understand it may be an old place but totally could and should be cleaner. Was not happy since this is the closest place to my house and we like to take our daughter once a week for a treat. I would rather travel then to go back.

Phenomenal quality ice cream. Super friendly staff couple. The man was a childhood piano prodigy who performed on the Ed Sullivan show. Support local/small business & check them out.
