Rays Electronics used to be good. I have been a long time customer and now had 4 cars done here ranging from remote starts to hard wiring radar detectors. I’ve spent over $ 2000 here and after the second car it all went downhill. On my last car I got a remote start installed and had to come back 4 times for them to get it right. First it took about a month to get another remote for the remote start, next it did not function properly it would work 50% of the time and the doors would not unlock and finally the remote start is still acting up. Now here is what really made me not want to return to this place again, I just purchased a new 2016VWGTI and had a radar detector and a dash cam hard wired to my car after calling Sean he said yes bring it in, I get there drop off the car and was told around a hour for it to be done. 5 hours later the car was done… When I first dropped off the car I told the guy at the front where I want everything installed(radar under the mirror and the dash cam to the right of the mirror) I get in to see my dash cam in the middle under my mirror and the radar detector is low on the windshield. Next I find out my brand new cars fog lights don’t work anymore and that I would have to return the following day to get this solved and I do not live that close. After coming back the next day and waiting for an hour finally I had to walk up and see what’s going on. This cost me $ 145 and there was no mention of reimbursement or even a sorry. I will never return to Rays and I would advise you to look for a different shop.

Leaving rays electronics my turn signal flashed quickly showing that a light was out. I have videos of this. My turn signal light was out. My boyfriend went to replace this $ 30 light bulb and guess who forgot to put my turn signal light back into my car RAYSELECTRONICS!!!

If I could give this played 0 stars, I would! First off I bought two subwoofers that were suppose to be «top of the line», which blew on my way home from rays. They exchanged them for some other subwoofers that I had never heard of. Not to mention when they installed everything I had just bought a brand new pair of Nike shoes which THEYLOST. I asked the owner of he could get them for me and he said he couldn’t find them and they gave me nothing in return for the whole issue. Long story short is that the place is ridiculously overpriced, they lie straight to your face, and they’re just flat out ignorant. I hope everyone reads this post so they will not go there and get ripped off like I did.

All I have to say is that I am super impressed by Shaun and his team. I always check out reviews and make sure to read the ones that actually received a service. My search began when my wife started complaining about the remote start not working on her BMW, we previously had it installed by ANOTHER shop and they had left wires hanging and clips on moldings broken. I made an appointment with Shaun and told him the problems I was experiencing, he did tell me to come in for a quote since there were some aftermarket parts already in there, completely understandable, since fixing someone else work is always the hardest. I was impressed with the showroom and how much of the product he had in stock. I was given a quote for almost $ 470 less than the other place I stopped by at, I left my car there that day and took an Über home. They told me it would most likely take about 2 days with programming the car and making sure everything worked as it should. To our surprise they called the next day saying everything was finished and the car was ready for pickup. When my wife and I arrived it was like sitting in a different car, they had fixed all the mistakes and helped secure some panels that were previously damaged. Wife was thrilled about the remote starter working, and I was thrilled that it did not empty my wallet. Its been about a month and a half and everything works perfect. Thank you Shaun and your excellent team, we will be back soon with another car for you. Keep up the great work and customer service and you will keep on succeeding. We also loved the Rover and Lambo you were working on when we came to pick up our car. If you want the job done right take it to Rays –K&R

I wanted to get a remote starter for my car, I called there to ask what they would charge… the guy who answered the phone told me to come in to get a price, when I asked if he could give me a ballpark price he got mad and said we don’t give prices unless you come in and hung up on me… I have not had work done there but why would I want to go somewhere that has poor cust service skills? How would they treat me if I had an issue…

I have been in the store a few times and they have always been very helpful. I just went in and had my speakers replaced and Shawn went above and beyond with great service and pricing. Very happy!

Shaun and his team were exceptional. The communication was excellent. All work was performed as promised-the install looks perfect and performance is outstanding. I had quite a few questions regarding using a perviously installed unit that were answered honestly. I chose to purchase a new unit as the used one was not going to work as I wanted. Shaun was patient and explained everything. The work was completed within a few hours and we were given instructions on the operation of the Kenwood. My family and I have a couple of other auto– electronic projects that we will sure to have Ray’s be involved with. Thanks Shaun. Phil

Super expensive. Went for an estimate for an installation of an amplifier/processor(all in one package) and they wanted $ 300 plus material and 6 hrs to get it done. Went to fry’s electronics today and had it install for 69.99 including material and they did a really good and clean job in only 2 hrs.

Firstly, the only other review of this establishment has got to be the owner. The main technician/owner is named Shawn and he drives a big white C300… Well folks, I went in to rays on a recommendation from a misled friend. I got to rays assuming that I would only have to pay about $ 75 – 95 to install a subwoofer and then perhaps a 100 or 200 more for new speaker wiring. I planned to wait at their shop while they did the work. Well needless to say We never even able to discuss the speaker wire because of how long I had to wait. I had a friend come and pick me up as well… Anyway, I walked in and had to wait to talk to someone because a friend of who knows who was there BSing with the receptionist. While they talked about nothing I sat and waited in, yes a nicely furnished speaker room with iPod hookup, a small corner for about half hour before the first gentleman asked what I was there for. Some time after that I talked to Shawn and they took my car. They did the woofer and said 100 for it and 50 for the parts because the wiring that came with was junk… Well anyway, I’m in my car and sure enough one of the speakers no longer makes noise. I called straight away as I merged onto 355 and the first gentleman I spoke to said bring the car tomorrow. I called again the following day, Shawn said there was no such warranty and he could do nothing.
