This is the second time in 20 years that we purchased a refrigerator from Sears. I guess I forgot how bad they are with delivery. They used to give you the option of morning delivery or afternoon. Now they give you a 2 hour window. I thought, «Great!!.» But do they deliver in that two hour window? NO! And 20 years ago they did not deliver in that wider time frame! And do you know why they were late with the delivery? The truck broke down. Yes, they used the same excuse 20 years apart. So I took off from work because they were delivering between 2 and 4. They called around 4 and said they would be here around 6. They then called and said more like 7:30. I wasted my day off from work. At least they delivered it tonight. 20 years ago they didn’t deliver until the next day. I will never shop at Sears again. NEVER!!!

Bought washer and dryer and all new parts, guy who installed said I don’t need to install new pipe, he left old pipe starts leaking, even I know all new parts need to be installed, vent immediately fell off. I called him and told him to come back and fix, he came back with an attitude. I told customer service to have a manager call me, no call! It is OK though because in 5 years there won’t be a sears and you will all be jobless!

this is the best store and very professional about everything there I had an inceident with the schaumburg location and bloomingdale handled the sitaution like professionals from the sales associates to the floor manager to the store manager this was an A+++++ experience

The five-star review is for the management team at the Sears in Stratford Square. I went with my grandma to help her return a LandsEnd vest and shirt she received through the mail as a gift. That store did not carry the LandsEnd brand(like many locations do), and there was no gift receipt attached, which made it more difficult to locate the items and price in the system. The store manager, Bob, and assistant manager(I can’t remember her name) were instrumental in getting the items returned so my grandma could find something else she liked. Excellent and friendly customer service!

Since there is no 0 zero stars available I have to give them one star(but it’s really zero!). Store is a mess, absolutely disorganized, merchandise with out prices, wrong items on the shelf, sizes mixed up, etc. Staff is another problem, high school dropouts with«I DONOTCARE and DONOTBOTHERME» attitude. Close your doors already Sears, you simply do not want to be in business!

I am furious with this store — I purchased a new refrigerator and dishwasher, paying extra for delivery $ 60.00AND a fee to take AWAY my old appliances!!! The delivery guy comes and says… «Do you have any rugs/towels to cover your carpeting? We’re going to get it dirty.» I said. «It’s YOUR job to protect your customers’ property. Not MINE.» He said. «Sears should buy us stuff for that but they won’t.» Ok… one dirty BEIGE carpet later… He can’t find the water line for my dishwasher. Isn’t HE the professional delivery guy? Winds up turning off the main water line — which he COULD have done in the first place. THEN he moves furniture that he doesn’t put back to get the refrigerator in. But. MY biggest complaint? REFUSINGTOREMOVEMYOLDDISHWASHERUNLESS I DISCONNECTITFIRST! What do I know about disconnecting dishwashers? Do I look like a mechanic? I looked at the paperwork and it CLEARLY stated that THEY would bring an appliance and REPLACE it with«LIKE»… He said no. THEN he says. «Oh, GE will let us remove the dishwasher but SEARS won’t!!»… Badmouthing the people they WORK for? I called the store and argued with another salesman who said. «YOU have to disconnect the dishwasher. The delivery guy won’t do it. an insurance/liability problem. BALONEY. He wasn’t going to INSTALL the new one!!! If he HAD. there would NOT be an issue with REMOVINGTHEOLDONE! Sears offered me a ten dollar credit. I said… NO, I want that thing REMOVED!!! Sears called back and said they could come back in 2 days… on a Saturday… inconveniencing me AGAIN. They should have come back TODAY!!! I was so mad I hung up on him. NEVERAGAIN… If their policy is for the CUSTOMER to disconnect appliances prior to delivery… ITSHOULDSTATETHATONTHEPAPERWORK!!! ORATLEAST. the Salesman SHOULD have told me!!! He got HIS commission. What does he care now? Idiots. NOW I have a brand new dishwasher sitting in a BOX in MYLIVINGROOM!!!

Store Review: Appliances, clothes, and hardware. Sears is a interesting mix as a department store with a large appliance and hardware section as well. I often come here to window browse for TV and refrigerators. The salesmen are usually not too helpful but they do hunt you down to see if you want to buy anything. I would say that Sears is usually good for refrigerators and vacuum cleaners. Also I had some luck buying discount shoes in the past as well. All and all a okay store to buy other stuff for the home, but I usually can’t find anything from the clothing section to meet my taste. Pros– TV, fridge, and other misc stuff can be found at this department store Cons– Still expensive compared to buying online, average customer service Hidden deals– Sign up for sears reward card which allows you to earn points on your purchases that can be converted to credit. Check online for sale items that you can order for pickup
