I felt like a kid in a candy store. The prices are really good(or maybe I pay too much in NYC) and they have a huge selection. I love that they have Indiana sections so you can find something local. Bonus points for the gluten free beer selection. I was surprised to find so many options for my friend with Celiac.

As an alumni of IU, this is the best Big Red location, if you like good beer, which I do. They easily have the best selection of domestic craft beer and imports. They’re a bit high, but what cha gonna do you know when you’re jonesing for Yum Yum from Three Floyds right? They are serious about ID here folks, don’t even think about fake IDs my under age friends!

While in town I stopped in and I’ve been at this location two dozen times over the years and this place stands the test of time. Large selections of beer, wine & various liquors. Fair prices with people WILLING to help you. Great combination. This evening we were in town and were in need of a gift, my friend likes Chimay beer and Big Red Liquors had all three types in stock and fairly priced. They even went out of their way to box the bottles for the trip home. Not all change is good, this place day in and day out gets it done and has remained the same for longer than I would like to mention.

Nicest liquor store I’ve been in. A few larger but they are always those huge overpriced ones over state lines. This was beautiful with tons of cheap and expensive items. It’s part of a chain but this is the biggest in the area. Giant beer cooler, wine selection and tons of liquor. Big parking lot too. They even have very friendly employees and a tasting area. Lots of items on sale to peruse and all your high end items down to the cheap stuff.

I stop in hear about once a year to pick up some last minuet booze on thanksgiving. The store is conveniently located with a huge parking lot. Obviously i love the fact that they are open on thanksgiving for everyone that needs something extra. Their selection is huge! tons of great wine, liquor and a full walk in cooler for all the beer. The staff is always friendly(even though when I’m there they are working on thanksgiving) and all of their prices are at market. I recommend everyone to shop here for their alcohol. and as always drink responsibly!

This is the Mecca of liquor stores. Anyway, this is the best liquor store I have ever seen. They have everything from PBR to Cristal. An entire aisle of scotch and a staff that could tell you the difference between Caol Ila, Port Charlotte and Jura distilleries(even though those are only a few miles apart). Need a last minute keg? They’ll have it. Even better, they have discounts if you are buying in bulk. They are always super friendly and will order in, hold and organize your order for you. If you’re local, they’ll even bring it to you! On second thought, I don’t think there are liquor stores in Mecca. But if drinking was a religion, I think a Hajj to Big Red would be in order.

While the beer selection here is gigantic there is very little here to impress. However, in Monroe County, Big Red is basically the only chain in the craft beer game; therefore, they get all the allocated stuff– almost all of it anyway. If you want more than a bottle of a special release beer this is a great place to go– especially in the summer. No students in town means almost no beer geeks. When Arctic Panzer Wolf was first released it was very difficult to get in Indianapolis, but it was during the summer. I asked my best friend and old college roommate to check this Big Red for me.- I could have had a case of Panzer Wolf bombers. No one was in town to buy it. Overall, the beer selection is horrible. Almost every craft beer spot in Indy is has a better selection. This place is filled with sure sells, and the German and British brews loved by the run-of-the-mill snob with the overstuffed wallet(to be differentiated from the beer snob which– despite being a son of a bitch– is still in all likelihood a connoisseur).- This is the only show in town. People are going to buy whatever is on the shelves. Why not take a chance on some weird Belgian beers? Aside from the beer– the wine selection is immense, but it is stuff I have never heard of and never seen in Indy. However, I am really a novice in the wine world. There could be some really incredible bottle here for all I know. It seems like it would be worth checking out if you were really into wine. The spirit selection is unparalleled anywhere in the state. Odds are if it is distributed to Indiana you can get it here. This Big Red is a great building. It used to be a grocery store, so it is gigantic. There is a walk-in cooler with tons of kegs and craft beer if you need a cold sixer of the good stuff, a wine tasting room, and a counter where they often taste liqueurs and spirits.- It is definitely one of the best liquor stores in Bloomington.

Best place to buy beer in B-town…period. They have a gigantic selection of beers from all over the world. They have all the liquor you would ever need and a fantastic wine collection to boot! This place is great and you’d be foolish to go anywhere else — also they sell the biggest selection of kegs in town! Selling kegs in a campus town? Go figure: p
