Great little convenience store. They have all the essentials a convenience store should have, and the location is great since it is the only one downtown. Since it is a family owned business the prices are higher, but I enjoy supporting the local businesses. I also like how it feels like an old fashioned store and isn’t modern, but that’s just me.

This convenience store is within walking distance to the Hilton. I have been here twice during my stay. They sell everything; at a price. First trip I bought 6 drinks and laundry soap for $ 10. Second trip was cigarettes at a hefty price of $ 5.97 but I don’t know if that is normal for Indiana or not. We usually buy cigarettes in Missouri when we come up here, we were just a day short. Considering CVS is 0.6 miles and this place is like 0.1, honestly I would walk here instead of CVS in the summer. I only gave it 3 stars because they aren’t too friendly and the prices are a bit expensive but it won’t deter me from getting there and back to my room in ~5 minutes.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad there’s a quick convenience store option in the downtown. However, Black’s is pretty overpriced. I’ve bought gum here several times only to find out that it’s stale. It has all the little things(in very small sizes) you need to pick up last minute, but if Walgreens moved in next door, I would have no allegiance to this place.

They sell earplugs and gum, which is generally what I need when I’m in the vicinity. The tellers are friendly, but it’s just another way for the Black family to make more money off drunks/college kids. Someone should, I guess.
