Chatime serves up my favorite bubble tea. I can never resist stopping here when I visit MOA. The teas are delicious and their boba are the best – always fresh and chewy. My favorites are the Vanilla Chai Milk Tea and the Coconut Milk Tea. I love that you can designate a sugar amount – 120%, Regular, 80%, 60%, etc. The folks that work there greet you with a smile and helpfully answer questions about the different flavors and add-ins. PROTIP: Grab a punch card at the register and present it every time you visit to earn free drinks. Tuesday is double punch day!

It’s a plus to have boba in MN and even better when it’s located in the largest mall in the US. I stopped by this place and was greeted warmly by the staff. I ordered the jasmine green milk tea with less sugar and boba. The tea was very aromatic but it tasted like it still had a lot of sugar. The boba was not as fresh. I had boba at other places that was more chewy than this. I was very disappointed with my experience and doubt I will come back.

My friends and I stopped by the Mall of America to grab a bite before we took our flights home. We wandered the food court separately and agreed to convene at a table after hunting/gathering foodstuffs. Since I’m the type of person who likes scoping all options before making a choice, I ended up seeing Chatime(otherwise I would have just stopped at Chipotle or something and never wandered further). I was surprised to see an Asian establishment in(what seemed to me like) a mostly white area. I scanned the menu and one beverage caught my eye: earl grey milk tea — two beverages that I love combined into one? Hell ya! I looked at the extras(e.g. boba/bubbles, jelly, etc.) and didn’t see my favorite one(egg pudding). So I just ordered the earl grey milk tea by itself(at regular sweetness level). I was far from impressed with the beverage. I could taste a hint of earl grey but the drink itself was too watery instead of milky. Maybe he added too much ice and water and not enough milk? Either way, I didn’t think the drink was worth the money. Perhaps my standards for milk tea are exceptionally high because I hail from Orange County(not the fancy beach area like in the TV show The OC — I mean the painfully Asian areas where even KFC has bilingual(i.e. English and Vietnamese) signs and menus). I will most likely never visit Minnesota again(or not for a long while), so there’s a .01% chance I will return here. Basically, I’m saying there’s still a chance ;)))

This is the best place to get drinks at the mall! The staff is always super friendly and helpful, and the drinks are made right in front of you. Theres other things on the menu if youre not a fan of tea like lemonades, juice, and smoothies. The strawberry milk tea and the coconut milk tea with pearls are my favorite drinks.

my favorite is the chocolate mousse. my wife’s favorite is the mango qq with pearls. there are times when there’s no one there and there are times where the line is 10 deep. it’s definitely different than what you’re used to but after a few, you get used to it. it’s pretty good. there are some that are hit or miss. my wife finds it a little on the bland side sometimes but it’s just fine with me. still recommend this place though if you’re ever at the MOA.

Got a passion fruit large QQ tea with boba and lychee for $ 4.77. Was able to get it to 50% sweet. Fresh boba and overall very tasty drink – just like home!

Chatime is one of my top places to get boba or pearls as we say in MN :) The pearls are always fresh so they’re soft and chewy! They have a place at MOA and in Dinkytown.

I’m a regular at Tea Garden, but found myself at MOA today so I decided to give this place a try. I got the signature milk tea which is the equivalent of the royal tea at Tea Garden. First thing that’s different, and in a good way, is that Chatime asks you what sugar level you’d like(regular, 80%, 50%, etc.). I love having this option, especially when some teas can be terribly sweet. Next thing I noticed, much like what other reviewers have mentioned, I think that the milk tea here is much richer in flavor than Tea Garden. The pearls seem like they may be more fresh, as well, but that’s just my opinion. It does cost a little bit more here, but it’s not so much that it would deter me from stopping by again. If you are a lover of everything milk tea, I would say that Chatime has Tea Garden beat. They have a variety of milk teas. However, if you love green leaf teas and black teas, I would highly suggest Tea Garden because they have a lot more flavors for those types of teas(they also have more jelly options). Overall, I would highly recommend this place and would suggest stopping by if you’re at the mall. You won’t regret it!

Really happy to see Chai time in Mn! They have really delicious Bubble tea! Have so many different flavors and they are all so good! I always switch between pearl, herbal jelly and red bean! Best part is you get to choose your sweet level. It’s located inside Mall of America! Always go when able to just to get a cup!

I loved stopping by this little shop! They had green tea pocky — something you can’t find where I’m from. I was exciting to see that and a large array of different teas and flavors. My go-to drink is taro milk tea with boba. The flavor was super good, but I deducted one star because the powder was very prominent and had not dissolved. I’m not sure whether the water was not hot enough or there was too much powder, but I could not get the powder to dissolve, so unfortunately I had to throw half my drink away. Such a bummer because it tasted so good! I could just not get over the filmy layer collecting in my mouth. Other than that, nice little asian snack collection(we got green tea pocky and chocolate yan yan — yum!) and great tasting drinks. The girls working the counter were super nice, clean establishment, and good prices!

Line was very long and stretched across the mall’s walkway(which can be very distracting to other shoppers). They definitely need a better way to organize the line situation. The green tea with lychee jelly I ordered was yummy and the staff made it quickly. I would come back for sure.

This place is great. Second time being here. First time I ordered the matcha tea latte, which the worker suggested going 80% sweetness. I didn’t find it sweet enough and they added so much ice that my drink became watered down pretty fast. This time around, I wanted to order the Matcha red bean ice blended drink as I thought it’d be better since there would be no watered down taste, however, they didn’t have any powder to make any of the milky bubble teas because they ran out! :(but it was okay, I chose the Matcha mousse, which is a Matcha tea with a layer of sweet coconut-y flavored mousse on top. The worker was so nice and upgraded our drinks to Larges and didn’t charge us for our toppings because of the inconvenience of not having bubble tea powder! The Matcha mousse was sooo good! I liked it a lot better than the Matcha tea latte. Next time I visit I hope to try the Matcha red bean blend!

I really like chatime. This time when I came to the Minneapolis, I tried my favorite Matcha red bean milk tea, really great Taiwan style milk tea.

I enjoy coming to this place over the Tea Garden because of the customer service and the better taste of the tapioca pearls. I feel that the Chatime employees bring a positive vibe and they’re good at what they do. They have made me a returning customer for that reason.

The taro milk tea here is quite delicious. I usually don’t write a review about milk tea but at this particular location, the taro milk tea is special. Why? Well, if you like taro, you will like the chunks of real taro. It gives the drink another dimension with some unique texture. Come here and try it out. It’s different than all the powdered milk teas. Feel free to adjust the sugar«sweetness» level of your milk tea. Folks who don’t like the ultra sweet taste of milk tea will appreciate the option to alter the sweetness of the drinks to their desire.

This seems to be more of a convenient location than one where you can actually sit back and enjoy the drink while studying. There are barely any spots to sit in the store and it’s too noisy anyway. Most people just order bubble tea and sip it while shopping in the mall which is ok as long as there isn’t a super long line. Not even sure if coffee is available here as they don’t have Dogwood here like they do at the Publika location on the UMN campus in Dinkytown. The stamp cards work for both places though. You don’t have to order an insane amount to get a free drink for your loyalty. If you want to be conscious of your sugar intake you can customize the level of sugar. I usually go with no added sugar. I tend to like fruit blends like lychee but if it is your first time you might want to just try the classic bubble milk tea.

Coming from a pale with bubble tea shops everywhere, its hard to find a good bubble tea place. I made a few missions to go to Chatime because there isn’t one near where I live and I heard so many amazing things about it. The hype is actually a fact and I love CHATIME. From the bubbles to the flavor of the bubble tea, it was amazing. I can’t say enough about it. I bought one almond with coffee jelly, then came back again and ordered another one because it was fantastic. I also tried several other flavors and combinations but the almond with coffee jelly is my fave. Best. Bubble. Tea. Ever.

Suprisingly good boba! I come from Southern California, the mecca for boba outside of Taiwan. I came across this happy accident while walking through the Mall of America. Who would’ve thought that there would be boba in Minnesota, let alone good boba! I ordered the Jasmine milk tea… only after had I placed my order did I see the Tea Lattes — disappointment set it. Regardless, my tea wasn’t amazing, but it wasn’t bad. I tend to prefer the jasmine teas that are fragrant and this definitely wasn’t the highest quality tea. What really sold me was the boba… the texture is perfectly chewy and super fresh. They actually give you a lot of boba. Thumbs up Minnesota for possibly having even better boba than NorCal.

I absolutely love this place. Not only do the drinks taste authentic but they provide options to change the sugar intake. This is good for me since I’m trying to cut down on sugar. I get a different experience every time I stop by. On some Occasions there is no line but other times I find myself having to stand by the most indecisive customer. Who takes five mins to over a drink?! It’s not Cha time fault but boy they could use a second register. I would recommend the signature milk tea with pearls. It’s my default drink. I do not recommend any of their smoothies though. This is because they come out tasting like slushy. But that is how all the Taiwanese smoothies are typically like. The location is on the third floor next to the food court. There’s only one location.
