If you think there are better wings in town, you’re absolutely mistaken. These are some of the best wings I’ve found anywhere, and I consider myself a wing connoisseur. The Thai chili and bourbon Sriracha are absolutely amazing! The sauces sound like they would be extremely hot, but aren’t anything unbearable. In fact, I would say they are only about a 5 or 6⁄10 in hotness compared to the hot sauces at other restaurants. The flavors are bold and amazing! The wings are always cooked to perfection with a skin that pops when you bite in. They have never been soft or mushy like other places in town. But the wings aren’t the only great items at Doc Mckays. Their horse shoe is top notch and the cheese balls are quite possibly the best in town as well. I highly recommend checking this place out. It does get kind of busy in the immediate after work hours, but it is so worth it!

Despite the name, I don’t think anybody here is a Doctor. Nothing terrible, but nothing exciting either. Easy to miss location as it’s tucked between a mexican restaurant and a Auto Tire store. The bar itself seems to be ok. Lots of space, room for bands, and it was clean. They seem to have food/drink specials on most nights. The service on my visit was pretty sub-par. Seems to cater to «their regulars», the fine citizens of Bloomington who are looking for a step up from the Shooters Lounge experience. This makes for fantastic people watching though. Nothing about this place sticks out or make seeing the«Dr.» a must see.

The bartender always gives us fast friendly service. The wings are excellent. The menu is basic bar food, other than the wings nothing really stands out. Overall I will return as a customer. The Dr. Is doing a much better job than his«teacher» Phil.

Was a great place till the sun went down. Food was great. Music was less than appealing! i enjoy a little rap. The music turned gangster. Sorry but I will not be back!!!

Nothing that will blow your mind. It’s clean, offers standard pub food, an open floor plan with 5 TVs, blues music in the background, an adjoining ‘Vegas’ room, 8 tap handles and a friendly, engaged staff. The owner(formerly of Mugsy’s) seems nice enough and he’s hired/trained an attentive staff of mostly non-students. We certainly appreciate the non-chain feel(which clearly makes us atypical in BloNo), the problem is that there’s nothing to hang their hat on as different or compelling that we can identify yet… other than being on the East side and not being Hooters or B-dubs.

Came in for lunch on Sunday with my beautiful bride. Food was good and several notches above typical pub food. Service was excellent. They have a good variety of menu choices that everyone, including vegetarians, will be happy with perusing. We had fried green beans as an appetizer. Black bean burger and waffle fries for my bride. Buffalo chicken wrap and homemade chips for me. Very happy with our visit and will be back!

Ok for bar food. Had the burger on pretzel bun and my guest a the MacKay Shoe. Waffle fries cool way to hard but otherwise. Everything was ok. Wait staff was good and atmosphere pleasant and not to noisy with the Blue playing in the background. Nothing too special but would visit again.

Solid new bar/wings location in bloomington. Crowd is the perfect size, not too big not too small. Wings are really good, hopefully they will be introducing more flavors soon. We have been a few times since they opened and have left satisfied every time. Definitely worth checking out this new business.
