DO NOT rent from Shakman.
1) It is very difficult to have Shakman arrange for a handy man to come by (and the houses she rents are not in great shape to begin with).
2) Shakman does not keep track of money well, and sometimes tried to convince me to pay rent twice in one month.
3) A large deposit is required up front in order to rent her restored houses, and when the time comes for Shakman to return the deposit Shakman makes erroneous claims to try to keep the deposit, is «too busy» at the office to talk with you, and doesn’t return any phone calls. (I fought her on this for a year, and had a lawyer involved to no avail).
