I have made it a point to visit Half Price Books regularly. If you are a fan of media of almost any kind, they have it covered. CDs. Vinyl. Comic Books. VHS. They have a little bit of everything, and they have it super cheap. If you’re not familiar with Half Price Books, they are an outlet for used and unsold books and media. Sometimes they get items from private owners that were traded in at another location, and other times they receive pallets of merchandise from a store or chain buyout. Other times they receive shipments from other Half Price locations that failed to sell an item. Note: This is Half Price Books Outlet. They do not accept Half Price Books coupons, but they do run their own specials. One of the more popular ones is the bag full sale. Buy a bag for a certain amount and fill it up! The store is full of great deals. Recent arrivals are usually around $ 3 – 5, although I picked up several CDs for around 2 bucks each. There are tables with open trays of books and media with price points around $ 1 – 2. The selection will usually change over time, which is why I like to stop in regularly. I particularly like coming in some time after the bag sale, because the selection gets a nice update. They also have a frequent buyer program that offers a 25% discount after 7 purchases. They don’t have everything, and you may not find your favorite author, but you probably will walk out with something. There’s just too much there!

Although it’s an outlet, there’s a lot of great deals and they also offer a 10% student discount with an ID.
