If you have ever been to Hooters in other towns you may have made the same observation that I have in that our Hooters is an exceptionally good Hooters in multiple categories. The food, dining room(TV’s, wi-fi, etc.), and servers really are great in Bloomington! I recently tried the steak quesadillas on a whim. I was really surprised by how good they were. I felt they were on par with Moe’s and the Mexican restaurants in town. Give it a try if you are there and don’t feel like having wings! One tip– ask for the quesadilla not to be served on the thin paper they put between it and the plate.

Food took longer than desired and cold, but the service was great and she always had a smile on her face. And she was so nice to our kids… always a plus.

Mozzarella sticks cold, two of which were not even edible, fries room temperature and tasted old, wings cold with barely any sauce and some of the wings had bbq sauce on them which made them taste bad and gave it a weird taste. I ordered wings with hot sauce and my husband got 911 but both had wings had bbq sauce on them. Mentioned it to the waitress and she apologized about the mozzarella sticks and then apologized again about the wings. She was nice but it was one or the worst experiences we have at a hooters. They were not even busy. There were 2 people at the bar and 2 tables besides us. The table behind us also got their order wrong. Worst $ 50 spent.

Had lunch with some co-workers after meeting with a customer. Our waitress Jess was training Bree. They had great personalities and joked with us through out the entire meal. I was disappointed that they no longer offer the Cobb Salad, but tried the Buffalo Chicken Salad instead. While not as good as the Cobb, it was still a very good salad. I topped it off with the cheese cake. EXCELLENT! I look forward to visiting this establishment every time I am in town.

Of all the places I’ve been for wings hands down this place has the best. Not to mention a decent selection of beer on tap or bottle. For the hipsters they even have PBR on tap! YOLO

I don’t go for wings, I go for the shrimp… they were great… Hooters is a bar with good bar food… pretty girls… beer & watching the sports… that’s just what they are!

Some people love Hooters, some do not. It’s easy to jest about the name and its obvious connotations, but for the sake of this review I shall refrain from such tomfoolery. I am among those who love Hooters(referring to the restaurant, of course). The Hooters in Bloomington is all too conveniently located less than ½ mile from our house. In the year-and-a-half we’ve lived there we’ve eaten there at least once a month, and never had a less-than-awesome experience. Of course, part of that may be the expectation walking in, but even when being completely objective I cannot think of any visit that had a problem or a shortcoming of any kind. The restaurant is always clean and you’re welcomed by the hostess or one of the waitresses. They’re always pleasant, always have a smile, and try to engage you in conversation, even though it may only be for 10 – 20 seconds while you’re making your way to your table. The restaurant is almost always busy, and the servers are hustling, but not in a hurried way. The cleanliness of this location is always very clean, and messes don’t stick around long. The menu, while not extensive, is what you come to expect from Hooters. Burgers, sandwiches, salads, and wings comprise a bulk of the menu. We’ve tried every appetizer they offer and have two favorites: Mozzarella cheese sticks and the fried pickles. These fried pickles are The Best You Will Ever Encounter, and the fried pickle sauce compliments the pickles perfectly. The pickles are very lightly battered before being deep fried. Some places over-batter their deep fried pickles to the point that you are hard pressed to actually find the pickle. Not at Hooters.(My wife, who hates pickles, LOVES Hooters’ fried pickles.) In a recent drive to «family-ize» the franchise, they’ve added quite a few things to the menu. A larger selection of salads(most notably) and some non-burger sandwiches are parts of the new additions. I’ve had several of their burgers and, while they can be a bit messy with all the toppings they pile on, they are always delicious. When it comes to chicken wings, I’ve always preferred Hooters’ wings over those of the other major wings chain(Buffalo Wild Wings). For my taste, BWW’s wings are too heavily battered. Hooters’ are much lighter and, as a result, more flavorful. If I was to state one drawback to Hooters’ wings, it would be the lack of sauces. I don’t dislike their sauces, it’s just that I wish they had more variety. The service at Hooters is always great. The servers seem friendlier than, say, the previously mentioned BWW, and the atmosphere is more laid back at Hooters. Of Course the servers at Hooters are going to be friendly… it’s their job and they do it well. Who doesn’t like to be waited on by a pretty girl in a sexy outfit?

Wow has Hooters in Bloomington has gone down hill. Although the servers were nice and polite the kitchen was painfully slow. The wings were some of the worst I have ever had. We were in at the height of the lunch rush 12:15 to 1:15 and there was all of 6 customers in the entire place. The wait staff out numbered the customers. In my opinion it is the poor food quality and slow kitchen staff that has chased the customers away. I remembers when the place opened… The food was great, the kitchen was fast and the severs were rocken. Now nice polite and attractive wait staff it’s enough to overcome a slow kitchen and poor tasting food. Unless things change I won’t be back.

I know this is not their claim to fame but the food quality has gone down. Overpriced small wings. Ambiance is still the driver.

Sat down, got a beer and waited 45 minutes to see a menu. I know this place can be hit or miss, but today was really bad. After a waitress(Ashley) did pop by, she said. Just yell«hey Ashley». I don’t think the job of waitress was explained well.

This is probably the nicest hooters I’ve ever been to. I honestly can’t figure out why people go to bw’s. Hooters has way better food, service, televisions, and cheaper drinks. Been coming here for a while now. I’m a big fan.

Had lunch with some friends. The buffalo chicken salad was delicious. ESPN was on the TV. I was satisfied.

Best buffalo chicken sandwich(they are known for their substantial breasts) and wings in town no contest. I HATE, however, that they charge extra for blue cheese for the sandwich — when it comes included with the price of the wings. Drives me nuts… but after sharing a pitcher of icy cold beer, I get over it.

I love hooters wings at many different locations, but not this one. I don’t know what they do differently, but my wings are consistently overcooked and dry-the ranch sauce is more like a ranch dressing, so that doesn’t help much. The service has been bad every time I have gone. I’ve had to wait up to an hour for someone to even greet me(at a time they weren’t even busy). I realize I’m a female and not getting alcohol, but this was ridiculous. If you don’t mind waiting long times for average wings, by all means go to this location.

The wings were so bad, they were the last little push I needed to finally sign-up for Unilocal.I ordered the NE clam chowder and 10 traditional wings w/curly fries. The soup was served with the entrée, and it was room temperature. Additionally, the taste was bland, so I had the mgr remove it from my bill. Now, I’ve been eating a different Hooters restaurants since the mid-80s, and I usually consider their wings as a baseline when rating buffalo wings. The wings I was served were terrible, slippery and slimy under the breading, and they tasted like gator meat! The fries were droopy and over-seasoned. On the brighter side, the wait staff was sympathetic, helpful and well-presented. The manager was also very friendly and courteous. If you’re in Bloomington, IL and want wings, just go a few blocks down Empire St. to BW3(directly across st. from BMI airport).

It’s a Hooters… A lot of people were there getting hammered on a Tuesday at 2PM. I’ve got to get a job that allows me to do that! The service was good, nice and attentive, but my wings tasted liked they’d been fried in the same oil as they fried fish, which is pretty disgusting. Free wifi is a plus.

Now I haven’t been here in a few years, but I just discovered Unilocal recently. Now I can get my revenge on this place for nearly putting me in the hospital! And nearly killing one of my friend’s boyfriends. When I went to ISU a few years back, I decided to finally eat here before I graduated. I had the wings and beer. Well there was nothing wrong with the taste of the food. It was what happened when I woke up in the morning with horrid stabbing pains, I could hardly walk! I went to the doctor and they said I got a parasite from food poisoning. Luckily it passed within 2 hours; however, a girlfriend of mine said her boyfriend ate there the same night and became insanely ill. He was in such bad shape they had to rush him to the hospital! BUYERBEWARE! They are not sanitary! Unless things have changed since then!

I came here with my family last week and it was so disappointing. We went for the Wing’s special(weds, i think?)…and asked the waitress if there was a wing special that night(Yes, she says) and asked for two orders of that for my husband and I. Then we ordered our kids’ meals. We waited for over an hour for these wings. The wing’s were just okay… why do they not come w/celery and ranch? Then the waitress got our order wrong and double charged us on just about everything(including sauces for our children’s wing’s that were plain?). She was not the brightest. She totally botched our order… had us waiting forever… and I didn’t like that she came over and sat with us trying to make awkward conversation about the weather and what we’re doing later that night. We have 3 kids 4 and under… what does it look like we’re going to be doing? Jaeger and saki bombs? I had to flag down a manager to get him to correct the bill(b/c the waitress was getting confused when I told her she got our orders wrong…“No, those $ 9 wings don’t come with fries.” But it’s Weds wing nite where it’s 5.99 for the platter… ugh. Anyway, he comped part of our meal, but not the added charges on sauces and such she added to our bill. It just ended up being a bigger headache going here to eat. The children’s meals were over fried and not worth the 1 hour wait when the whole place was maybe 40% full. Totally not worth waiting that amount of time with 3 hungry little ones. I love how the men are commenting that the girls are hot. The barely over 18 year olds they have working here are not that pretty(our waitress was not blessed in the looks and physical department.) and are not that intelligent, either. A couple wait staff came in to dine and I was disappointed by their inappropriate stories they were sharing.

I blew in hear for a quick meal while on a business trip and sat at the bar. The beer was cold. The burger was cooked to order and juicy. The curly fries were hot and crispy. The girls were also hot but not crispy. The service was just fine. It was exactly what I expected.

I will have to disagree with Russ. Although the food can be better at other restaurants, BW3’s food is, for lack of a better term, doodie. Flat-out doodie. Sauces are good, but I’d rather buy it in bottles and pour it on the Hooters wings. Hooters food is good, most of it not frozen. Service is always good, and Josh the manager knows how to make a guy happy… wink.
