One of the better Indian food places in town especially if you are looking for Southern Indian cuisine. I was hesitant to try it at first until my co-worker brought me here for lunch. The food was great and the service friendly. I’ve been told it gets very busy on the weekends and evenings. It is a bit of a hole in the wall but I tend to find those are best places to eat.

I used to like this reataurant with the previous copule owners and their cook from hyderabad. The food since is at best average and prices have increased by over $ 2 – 3 for each entrée. e.g.The biryani used to come with raita and salad and now they cut these sides and raised prices. The restaurant always seems to be struggling keeping orders straight with employees confused(cleanliness included) and I would definitely NOT recommend it for dine-in. The lady whoever takes the phone order is extremly RUDE and does not seem to understand it. WILLNOTORDERANYMORE. GOODBYE :(

I give Zero star to this place. Their food might taste good but remember before you get to eat it you have to place order and get insulted! Had horrible experience in process of placing order! Would never ever go here again! Transcript ofa rough experience that totally ruined an appetite: Call #1 @4:00pm Me: hello, Are you open right now for dine in? Rude lady: yes we are. Me: okay, thank you. We should be there in few minutes. Call #2 @4:10pm (Intended to place order so food is ready for hungry kiddos) Me: hello, we would be there in couple minutes to dine in…(Left incomplete) Rude lady: madam you called three times Me: no Madam this is my second call. Rude lady: you called three times, you place order iff. Me: had to cut the call!

Most dishes are decent with reasonably priced. May primary issue is, they don’t seem able to retain the taste. The same dish tastes different each time, some times for the good, but not all the time.

This is one of the good restaurant for take away! The Ambience is not great to dine in. Food here is so authentic and special menu dishes are awesome. I find they provide less quantity for the price. Hope they will consider this feedback and increase their quantities in future.

Great place to pick up Indian food. Don’t judge a book by its covers. I was surprised on how good the food(I got chicken tikka + naan) turned out. They know how to prepare for take out. They wrapped everything and all of it stayed warm!

I went with a group of 3 for lunch and we all ordered the lunch special that consists of several small dishes. It was delicious! Several small dishes of chicken, one very spicy and tons of great flavor. The place is small but the food and service is fantastic. Our server was attentive, knowledgable about the dishes, and seemed genuinely happy to see us.

Place is very small so I always take the take out. They have very good south Indian flavours. Good briyani. And the only place that has chilli parootta and kothu parotta. They have recently added thalapakkatu briyani and its a must try along with chicken 65 and naatu kozhi curry

Not the greatest of ambience, but the people and food here is outstanding. Ask for the signature menu items and you won’t be disappointed. Nice place if you wanna take out and the people have common sense ok how to pack, was surprised to see the boxes in shrink wrap.

Went back to this place after several years based on a recent recommendation by a friend! I must say that they have been consistent & kept up their low standard! Though I expected something better I am not surprised ! If you want a quick & easy way to get a heart burn, «Eat Here». But bear in mind it’s an expensive heart burn!!! Loaded with oil, culmination of too much spices and over the top with salt. In all this, flavor is completely lost. All you taste is some masala /curry concoction hitting your palette and you can barely make out the difference of one curry from another, except from the meat texture. Chicken 65, a pile of fried junk. Mutton pepper fry was loaded with pepper and really spicy. But Mutton was really chewy! Nattu Kozhi Chicken which is their house speciality was spiked with salt. Paneer tikka masala was worth it’s weight in oil ! Hardly any paneer. Chapathi was really a soft papad which when warmed reforms to its true texture. Chewy and somewhat crisp. Their packaging and to go box quality is cheaper quality than a low end Chinese take out! Overall it’s a chain reaction! The place, people and food, one tops the next in being the worst in quality, presentation and flavor, which is what good food is all about !

Seriously, straightup! aint nothin special about this restaurant! It was just too crowed in there. I initially wanted to try dosa there but for some reason, they didnt have it at the time. So We ordered korma and it was alright. But the palak paneer, ohmygoodness it was just toooo watery, it needs to be more thicken! Hello! We didnt order som’ juice. Yuck! BUT the Server lady was sweet and nice!

I don’t claim to have a lot of experience with Indian food except for the handful of times I’ve had it, but using Unilocal I found the reviews to be pretty good and decided to give this place a try. I ordered the garlic naan(fantastic, soft, great flavor), butter chicken(delicious), and biriyani(very good). It’s a tiny place with just a couple of tables, but the service was friendly, and while there was a bit of a language barrier, the woman was very pleasant and we understood each other well enough. I will definitely try it again and might even try some new things.

For a while there, I wasn’t sure Kabob’s would make it. This used to be our neighborhood go-to for Indian food. Not sure if they changed owners or what, but their portions had gotten a lot smaller and the quality of food overall went down. I decided to give it one last shot last week and was pleasantly surprised that it was back to normal. I order the butter chicken and garlic naan every time — this is also a great starter dish if it’s your first foray into Indian food. The sauce is slightly spicy and sooo creamy and rich. I could literally drink it it’s so good. I’m very particular about my meat and they use high-quality cuts of chicken without any of those weird hard ball thingies or tendons that I fear biting into(anyone with me?). The naan is soft and flavorful and garnished with fresh cilantro.

Very hole in the wall restaurant, but the prices are reasonable and the old an serving us was so courteous and prompt! Food is authentic and delicious – check out the specials! Not the cleanest or fanciest place, but the food was great

Food was great. Let’s just start there. If your after great tasting food they know what they’re doing. It’s just if you don’t mind dining in what resembles your neighbors garage. The décor or lack of there of was just humorous to me. There was a picture of a gyro hung up on the wall but I’m pretty sure I didn’t see gyros on the menu. It was all just a see for yourself moment. Wish I took a picture.

One of the best Indian food available in Minnesota ! Being an Indian, I have tried almost all the Indian restaurants around but I happen to love this one ! Their Biriyani is the best. I’m a non vegetarian, but still prefer the vegetable biriyani cause its just packed with flavors and its awesome. Their chilli chicken(appetizer) is also amazing. I so love this place that we ordered food for my son’s birthday party from here(for about 35 adults). They made some stuff that I wanted which was not even there in their menu like baby corn Manchurian. Simple curry like aloo gobi too tastes absolutely delicious ! Another recommendation would be the veg kothu paratha. Its different buy spicy and yumm ! The Negative would be — The dining space is pretty small, so I generally do a take out. As much as I love this place and order from here all the time, just realized I haven’t ever written a review about this place. So hence this late review ! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for good SPICY Indian food.

I’m devastated writing this review. Probably for the first time it’s a bad review for indian food. I write with utmost & sincere hope that they will improve their food quality. But I should have been smarter trying to order Punjabi food in a South Indian restaurant called Tandoor. Even then, the dosa was cold and the condiment(sambar, etc) was little more in quantity than a mandir’s parsad. The palak paneer tasted creamy, the palak was mercilessly blended turning it to green soup. Imagine indian style tomato soup style. The Naan was a challenge to bite into — it was tuff and stale. Any frozen naan can beat that. The biryani was overly seasoned with chunks of masala all covered by a mountain of raw onion. I am not gonna write about the service since I don’t believe in jeopardizing jobs. The place was a hole in the wall and they work hard to made sure to keep it that way. It was cold, literally freezing. I felt like I was back in some poorly run school hostel in India. I left feeling cheated with an urgent need to eat at another Indian restaurant to recover my love for Indian food. (I’m giving it an extra star just coz it’s an indian restaurant)

Best hole in the wall Indian food! I frequent this establishment as they are a client of mine, and you can immediately tell upon walking in that it is going to be delicious. Hint: I am an odd-looking patron. All naan varieties are excellent, and lunch specials give you a variety of options at an extremely low price. Another favorite… the mango yogurt drink. No idea what is in it, but it’s fantastic. If you’re driving down 494 on your way to the airport, this is a perfect spot! Kabobs also offers takeout.

Myself and a colleague went to this restaurant for a lunch, the curd vada we ordered was so pathetic that the curd used in the recipe was very sour, and the vada was like a piece of stone or made a day back. Veg Briyani was much worse with rice not properly cooked and terrible. I hear from my local friends that this restaurant is said to be good, but only two stars from our side.

I was surprised to see that the place was packed with South Asians, causing me to have high expectations for the food because I believe if a place is frequented by people who are connected to country of the cuisine, it must be really good. Unfortunately, the dish I ordered was very disappointing. I ordered the seekh kabob, while my friend ordered the Hyderabadi biryani. We also got samosas to share. The vegetarian samosas were tasty, the biryani was pretty good(loved having a hard boiled egg with it), but the seekh kabob was full of tendons/small muscles. Every bite required me to chew and take out the horrible tough, gel like substance. Definitely a turn off! I honestly have no idea how the meat actually tasted since it was filled with this junk! I didn’t say anything to the wait staff because I was too upset and didn’t really think to say anything to them. I’m pretty sure they couldn’t make another round of kabobs that wouldn’t have this issue since the meat source would be same, but maybe they would have offered something else. This time it was my fault for not speaking up hence the second star. Essentially weird meat tainted my experience. The place is definitely a dive and can be hard to move around if the place is full because the seating arrangement isn’t the best and space is limited. The wait staff was pretty friendly and prices are reasonable. I go for food but people also matter and because they seemed friendly, I’ll go back and try something else off their menu. I’ll be going another time to update this review. If you get something weird in the meat like I did, please speak up! This place isn’t too far from MOA, is accessible by public transit(Bus 5), and is in a strip mall. It’s in the same parking lot as another Indian restaurant and an Indian grocery store you must check out as well! ’

Day 3 in Minneapolis and I wanted Indian Food again. After using my Iphone Unilocal app again, it led me to the same strip mall where India Café was located. I was dumbfounded that I didn’t notice this place the first time. :( Anyhow… The food better and cheaper than India Café. The Vege Samosa’s were hand made!!! Not the ones made off of a Chinese food assembly line. The naan was freshly made in front of me while I waited! The Butter Chicken was thick and creamy and had a nice full flavor. They only small downside was the chicken in the curry was a little dry. This is home cooked quality food! I was really surprised to find such nom nom Indian food here in the Midwest. The only reason why I cannot give this place 5 stars is because of the dining environment. had the same ambiance of a office break room. If you are in the MSP area and are looking for an Indian fix, I would suggest Kabob’s. I know that’s where I’m gonna go should the Indian craving kick again while I’m here…
