Monical’s Pizza

The pizza is usually pretty good. The employees at this location are usually stone faced and lethargic. Would it kill to smile?

I have been eating Monical’s pizza for years and have never been disappointed. They have a variety of options from their classic thin crust pizza, the point pizza (slightly thicker crust with a sweeter sauce and variety of cheeses), subs, pasta dishes, salads and appetizers such as bread sticks and pepperollies (pepperoni and cheese wrapped in dough). Don’t forget to top it all off with their signature tart french dressing.
I recommend the point pizza. It seems to be the best value for the price. In general, it seems their pizza is a little pricier than some of the competition, but they have coupons all the time (new ones released each month) offering deals on various sizes of 1 topping pizzas and their family pleasers. Their menu items outside of the pizza seem to be reasonably priced. Sign up for their Dippin’ Club and you get additional emails from time to time with deals.
If you’re on a tight budget, grab a coupon and dine in every once in a while. If the cash is flowing, then Monical’s should be in the discussion every time you think about getting pizza.

Being from Chicago my expectation here is not high. With that said the crust is like cardboard and the sauce is almost not existent. I couldn’t figure out what was so weird about the pizza so I lifted the cheese and no sauce. The edges were burned too.
When they handed me the 16″ pizza it was very light. Almost nothing to it. Felt like one of those brick oven pizzas which are good when you want a brick oven pizza. Doesn’t even have a good flavor.

We get the family pleaser; all good especially the dressing. Exceptional customer service. Food is over priced.

Monical’s pizza isn’t bad, in fact I would say it’s above average for the area; however it is extremely over priced for what it is.
This location is my favorite as it is less populated than the other two and the pizza is consistent.
This place would easily receive another star if the price were not that of the more premium pizza places in town.
