This place is the worst pawn shop I have ever seen! There was nothing but junk! Even the«jewelry» they sold was just junk costume jewelry! No wonder they can’t afford to offer pawn loans don’t waste your time here!

Damn, where to start… Well, I had high hope for this pawn shop. I was told by a local that it was a great place. I must have been there on a very, very off day. This place was terrible. Problem #1. I went in looking for something specific. They didn’t have it, no problem, can’t have everything. But I looked around for more. The place was full of things I wanted to buy, but every time I asked how much for the thing on the wall, display case or shelving unit, I was meet with, «Oh sorry, that’s not for sale, that’s a store display.» WTF, I didn’t realize this was a museum or someone’s private collection to show off. I thought it was a store. Whatever, don’t take my money. Problem #2. I asked another guy if they had any blu-ray movies, he showed me what they had, and the first guy ran over and said, «What are those? and grabbed them away before I could look through them all. Like he wanted first chance to look through them. Then, when I found a couple I wanted, the guy scanned them and looked them up on Amazon and told me a price that was comparable to what it was if it was new. Literally $ 2 cheaper than the new price on one. Then I asked if he could work me out a better deal on a couple together, he said, «No, I can get more off the internet sale anyway». This wasn’t a huge deal I was asking for. The total would have been just $ 4 off! The first guy came back and said, «We don’t need to make deals.» 3. Problem #3. I found one collectable item that I wanted on a shelf, and they actually said, yes I could buy it. The price was $ 15. It was all dirty and very used. No packaging of box included. I knew what the item was worth and asked for a deal, again I was meet with, «No, that’s already a deal». At this point, I realized, this place is terrible! Horrible customer service, deal making and products. I’m outta here. The place seemed to be just a hang out for these aging wannabe rocker dudes to take advantage of the local college kids. Like the wives kicked there collections out of the house and they needed a place to take them. WORDTOTHEFUTURESHOPPER of this joint. Think twice. I know it’s a pawn shop and it’s about making the best profit for the company, I shop at these places all the time when I travel and I have a few locals I visit on a regular basis, but not here, ever again. They are all somewhat shady and we know this. I don’t think they know what’s going on here.

this place is allright. every time I go in there, I have high hopes, but I usually walk out without buying anything. Their selection of stereos and TVs that were made AFTER1993 are decidedly lacking, as is their video game selection. However, they seem to have a lot of musical equipment and hardware, however, those are not things that I am really that into. They also randomly sell stuff like hardcover books that people try to give them. It’s really kind of silly to do that, i saw a hardcover autobiography of Collin Powell there for $ 10…I don’t think anyone is going to pay that much for a used book on someone who isn’t really in the public eye anymore… but nice try!

Suckas… they give you good money for your cr@p. I had some speakers that didn’t work well. They didn’t care they said they look good so heres $ 20. I paid $ 50 for those speakers 4 years before I sold them to MP. I guess that sucks if you bought them, but hey that is MPs deal

Monster Pawn is the perfect place to buy or sell your new or used goodies. Want a cheap CD — MP’s your place. Want a $ 5DVD? MP’s your place. Want something more upscale like a flat LCDTV — Monster Pawn might have it. Monster Pawn isn’t a dingy, low-end pawnshop. It carries all types of goodies, cheap and expensive. They also sell some stuff online, so if you don’t see it instore — just ask! They might have stuff in the back that’s not ready for sale. Everything at MP is reasonably priced, but you could always haggle. The service is super friendly and the store is neatly organized. They have a nice array of jewelry, along with a house jeweler. If you want something custom made — they can make it for you! After shopping at Monster Pawn, I’ll never pay retail again!

Monster pawn lives up to it’s name, although it’s not monster sized it’s stuff to the brim. This place is great, and add an extra star if your a musician. They have all sorts of gear from paintings, pictures, obscure jewelry, audio gear, video games, dvds, Tv’s, Music, and all sorts of pawn shop stuff. I found a huge, beautiful painting here for $ 15 for example… plus you can haggle which is quite nice for dragging down the prices. Lastly, lots of collectible items and do dads… want a German Pike helmet, they have it… If your nearby, stop in some time.

Wow Bloomington is serious about their pawn shops and from what I heard this one is one of the largest in the midwest. I was really looking forward to finding some ghetto fabulous bling but everything there was not tacky enough for my taste. Everything seemed to be reasonably priced and if you are looking for cheap dvds and guitars this is the place to go. They also sell stuff brand new at wholesale prices. I was disappointed that the rack of porno movies I was promised was nowhere to be found. Maybe it was all sold out.
